While nobody on here wants the Vols to ever lose, would you settle for losses to Vandy and Kentucky in the same season if it meant Fulmer was gone following the season?

I'd literally puke if that happened.

never. Why settle for losing to JC programs when losing to the big ones will get the job done?

i don't think losing to the big ones would get the job done. hell fulmer is 11-14 against the big ones as of late, nothing has changed yet. and we've even lost to vandy

I've never fully bought into the rooting for failure theory, although today I was for the first time presented with an interesting hypothetical. What if you favorite NFL team was having a bad season and by losing their last game or two it would ensure first pick in the draft, where they would be able to select an awesome prospect at a position of dire need to the team. On the other hand, they could win the game and get the fourth or fifth pick which would do them little good. Now translate it to college by replacing the first pick in the draft with having pick of the litter of available head football coaches. What do you hope happens?

Again, I'm not buying into rooting against the Vols in hopes of change at this time but it definitely makes me a little more sympathetic to those who do.

Losing to Kentucky is imminent, you can't keep beating the same team forever... especially now that they are playing us tough every year. We might as well get it over with during a season that doesn't matter... and, after Saturday, this season will probably qualify.

Who ever answers yes, should punch their scrotum.

Yes.

OOF!

Now that's over with. Losses to KY and Vandy might be just what we need; they're going to do it eventually, we might as well let them get their licks in and start another 20 year cycle. That said, I am going to root like heck for the Vols in each and every game, starting with the War Iggles... while dove hunting this Saturday.

Hooray for portable XM!

I don't think I've ever wanted to cuss so much on a thread in my life. Never, ever, ever is it in any way acceptable for any reason to lose to the vanderbilt commodes.

Yes. This season is a wash, get a new coach in, start over. No more of this meddling on mediocrity BS that our program is facing right now (ala FSU)

I will NEVER pull for UT to lose no matter what the circumstances are. If I did I'd hope someone would question my fan hood.

No, because i definitely dont want to lose to either especially since of the long streak we've got going against UK.

Plus if UK beats us, you know who now has the longest current winning streak over an opponent in the nation: Florida over UK. Do you really want to give the gators that? Is it worth giving them something else to brag about? NO :nono:

I know Vols fans don't want their team to lose. Just curious if Fulmer's departure as a result of losing to Kentucky and Vandy would take the sting out of the losses.
