If I were monetarily well off and could sit in the skybox seats at the Tenn football games I would choose to be in the stands. I like high fives, jumping up and down, yelling loud and all that goes with sitting in the stands. I want to see the faces of the opposing team when we score and give them a smirk. So if you could sit in the fancy skybox for all the games, would you really want to?

I've watched several games from both places, and there are pluses to each. The sky boxes are very nice, but you are a bit removed from the energy of the game. They do, however, high five up there, although the chances of celebrating with a vomit stained drunk in a hunter's orange vest smeared with blood are a little less likely.

I watched both games I attended at Neyland this year from the East Club Level, which, IMHO, offers the best of both worlds. It may not be a good sign, however, that the team's record was 0-2 while I was seated in our newest section.

Im sure you have Hat, so whats the scoope?
I'm not really moved by the boxes in Knoxville. In Miami, you might have Vida Guerra or Beyonce and Jay-Z in the Club Level. In K-Town it's some fat guy who owns a car dealership or a trailer manufacturer.

I know Hat will chime in on this...but thought I'd jump in too.

The canes don't quite have the swagger or the talent they had in 01, 02...so they've got some work to do to get back to that level.

On the other hand, the ACC is winnable next year...Wake won't defend, Clemson will start the season 1-4 or end the season 1-4 like they always do, and FSU is worse off than Miami is. So, even with less talent than in year's past, the U could be back in the BCS next year.

Sound analysis. Don't think I need to add anything.

i have done both as well. the great thing about the sky box is ALL THE FOOD you get. Good grief at the food we had! I almost felt like I was watching the game on TV though. We did meet Bruce Pearl that day, but all in all I would much rather watch from the stands.

i would much rather set in the stands and watch the game. you get the whole atmosphere that way. the noise, singin rocky top at the top of your lungs, the weather, etc. You also feel more apart of it. when you scream, chant, sing, jump, what ever you do, you actually contribute to the game. if you do that in the box seats only a few see you.. when you do it in the stands it creates a domino effect. and other people do it and soon enough 106,000 are doin it and yall have made Neyland the greatest stadium and atmosphere in football...

If it will get me away from the 3 annoying children that are usually in front of me, I'll sit on top of the sky boxes..

You shouldn't talk that way about OrangeSquare, VolBeef, and UT IE 95.

At least they have been to the BCS since the 50's.

I can understand what Hat is saying, but I don't think they are that overrated by the public on such a high level as Cal.
