Would you rather have ...

Agree, Nobody has OC experience their first time. Missed out on that one, good job foolmer

Please don't misunderstand my post as an endorsement of TT for OC. I was just picking between the options presented. To bash Fulmer (correct spelling) for not giving TT the OC position is stupid IMO.

I'd take TT & EO b/c they can recruit. Anyone can call a play when you got a bunch of high school A.A.'s on your team. Chavis and Brown maybe better coordinators (just maybe) but I'd take the ones that can recruit. Chavis can't recruit and with Brown at 57 and out of college game for 15+ yrs it'd take him a lil while to build up contacts. As most coaches say recruiting is about good contacts.

For those that new TT one of his favorite quotes was "the better the players I got the better coach I am" and that is a true statement.

Ditto

Chavis is terrible at recruiting, which is why is sits at home in Knoxville while the other coaches take care of that. And from what I've heard about Kippy, one of the reasons he left the college game was because he was not a fan of recruiting. He's got a good resume, but you aren't going to convince many players to come to your school if you don't like the process of convincing them. Not to mention the point about losing all of his contacts and having to make new ones.

I'll take Taylor and Oregeron over Kippy and Chavis any day of the week. They would have so many athletes on the field that it wouldn't matter. Isn't that how Fulmer won all of those games in the 90's anyway. Orgeron and Taylor would bring in a top 3-5 recruiting class each and every year. I can't believe Fulmer hasn't tried to snatch up Orgeron for some position on defense. We need his recruiting badly. Plus, I would love to hear him try to sing Rockytop.

Orgeron... they guy who has never coordinated a defense... I'll take my chances with Chavis.

Either scenario makes me sick to my stomach......if I had to choose between the 2, I'd take TT and EO and pray.

If TT was OC; after the first touchdown of the season I am thinking that he would notice his reflection in the glass, try to chestbump himself, and fall 60 feet into section T.

Why do people think coach "o" is a good recuriter?? Most of the guys he brought in at ole miss did not qualify.

so the title "Recruiting Coordinator" and recruiter of the year award mean nothing? Gotcha :good!:
Quit bringing up facts. Next time, you'l probably bring up the fact that Dennis Erickson readily admits Orgeron was the best recruiter on his staff at Miami. Quit bogging the board down with details. It's much more interesting when people who don't have a clue what they're talking about just spout off inaccurate jibberish.

Where do you suggest we would put him? I'm sure we could find somewhere for him to get his recruiting abilities.

Would you go from being a HC to being a D-Line coach or the like? I'm sure he'll find somewhere to coach that isnt at UT.
