I personally think that running the option is great, and a dual threat Qb allows that to open up your playbook. I think that this year if we would of still had Schaffer in a few of those games we could of pulled out wins.

i don't care which one, as long as who ever we have does what they do very well and it translates in to W's.

this is a "grass is greener" question. Personally, i like to have a qb that can move. not necessarily "dual threat", but can move well in the pocket....John Elway comes to mind, and, for unkown reasons, Big Ben has some qualities similar to that.

I don't think you need one or another, but he must be able to throw from the pocket first, and second, be able to move around when things break down, or pressure builds.

All this goes back to line play and backs that can block, for either one you need an o-line that can hold a block for more than 3 seconds and running backs that can pick up the blitz or throw a good block downfield for either type Qb to be successful. Take it one step farther, you need good recievers that can either stretch out and catch balls that hit them in the hands or throw blocks downfield(without blocking in the back).Carry it on out you need a D-fense who can keep the other team from scoring at will and you need special teams that will turn the field position around. In other words 1 player does not a team make.
