If I was held up by these fools, they would consider themselves lucky to be alive and not worried about football careers. That's the nice thing about my friends as well. Most of them have conceal and carry permits.

Absolutely...... hopefully this will keep them from making a BIGGER mistake in the future. Vols will be fine without these type of thugs.

Really? I love this program also. Yes anyone with a brain would call the cops, even if it was a 5 star player. I rather have The Vols have a 2 win season for five years then have criminals playing for them. No excuse to be a criminal, players are given everything and a chance to make millions. If you take what is not yours, your nothing but trash.

No doubt I'd call the cops and tell them to get someone to clean their brain matter off of the floor...pull a gun(pellet or not) on me and if I get the chance you'd be meeting your maker.

Why do I get the feeling that a 16 year old started this thread? What happened to love, HONOR, and truth, in the treatment of your fellow man. It is one thing to love your team, it is another to want HONOR and RESPECT for it.

Man I don't care if it was Eric Berry and Hardesty. If they pulled what I thought was a gun on me UT or not they are going down.

here's a better question, what if, they got away with it, and as mentioned it esclates, cause no one called the cops before, and this time its some Metro Cop, off duty, and he thinks the gun is real, and shoots and kills them all. Would you be able to stand back then, and say Im glad I didnt call the cops back then? Not doing the right thing, is a dangerous path, you have no idea where it will lead them, but you know no good will come of it.

Are you kidding me? I don't care who's pointing the gun in my face -- whether it's Nuke or Peyton. I'm calling the cops regardless. My love of Tennessee sports has boundaries, and some of those are defined by the law.

Someone tries to rob me, I'm calling the cops. Or shooting at their tires. These kids are lucky they didn't get shot.
I can't believe people would let this go just because they play UT football. It's attempted armed robbery..and at the end of the day, these are just kids playing a sport at a university. This should not make them able to get away with crime.

Football is football. Armed robbery is another all together. I like UT as much as the next guy but when someone pulls a pistol on me, the line has been crossed. As I've said before; These young men are very fortunate they didn't attempt to rob a serious man with a concealed carry permit. They could have been carried to the morgue instead of jail. When you pull a gun on someone you had better be ready for a response in kind...especially here in TN, "the patron state of shooting stuff."

Uh yeah....I would've...In a split second....Being a football player doesn't give you special privileges like robbing people...Not only would I have called the cops I would be the first son of a gun in court to convict them....Football is just a game...There is no excuse for that kind of behavior.

Hell yeah I would call the cops. I don't care if it was Eric Berry.....If someone is holding me up at gunpoint, i'm calling the cops, I don't care who it is. If you are stupid enough to hold someone up at gunpoint, you have no business making millions a year in the NFL. This is a stupid thread.


And for the people that say you wouldn't call the cops, you are stupid too.

People wonder why our world has come to what it is today. Because of people like you that want to let "famous" people do whatever they want.
