Not immediately, perhaps, but rather at seasons end. If you were the AD, and we lose to MSU along with the conditions of Dooleys less-than-spectacular on-the-field results thus far, would you fire Dooley whether it be immediately or at seasons end?

I'm more interested in what our fanbasewould personally would do rather than what we think the current administration should do. I would personally not fire him based on this game alone, however, if the results were lackluster for the rest of the season (no upsets, losing a game we were supposed to win, then my decision might change.

At this point, I'd favor a 2-3 year extension over firing Dooley for the consistency of our program alone, not to mention recruiting. Of course, as mentioned above, that could all change depending on the rest of the season

We will be under dogs in all three of those games.

With that said, he needs to win one of them. I think if he can just win any one of those three, he is good for another year.

What if he loses to MSU, beats USC and Alabama

Then obviously we would keep him, though this is highly improbable if we can't beat MSU. Regardless, this topic is based on losing to MSU alone and people's perception of how losing to them would effect the program. Must-win for Dooley in many ways...

So...You like seeing the school lose money?...Because that is what Dooley is doing, Costing UT more and more money because they can't fill that stadium...Did you happen to notice how many fans were at the UGA game?...Looked right at 2-300....Nobody will support a losing program and Dooley is killing this one slowly but surely...He's not the man for the job...He's just not.

If you're talking financials, wouldn't a buy out and hiring a coach set us back more than keeping him?

Look you dont give extensions for the purpose of stability. THAT IS DUMB extensions are reserved for if you prove you have the potential to be great and just need sometime. CDD performance doesn't warrant an extention yet. When you do that type of desperate thing you make it harder to turn the program around and more expensive. I think CDD will keep his job if he wins if he doesn't win he will keep his job if there isn't another big hire free to coach.
