If Butcg loses another game at UT, or wins by five points or fewer he needs to be fired.

So you are saying that if we go 11-1 and the loss is to UF you would fire him? Thank you for not quitting your day job (if you currently have one) because an Athletic Director my friend you will never be.

Did any else watching MNF last night eerily notice Gruden's commentary resembling Butch's? "Sudden change, complimentary football". I know it's coach speak, but it stood out to me. Maybe Gruden is trying to make the transition easier to when he gets here, blue font. Or CBJ studies Gruden speak. Let's get grudensagent in here

I hope Butch coaches from here on knowing the next loss puts him in the hot seat. I remember a player saying something like , if a coach loses 3 in a row he should be fired, we're TENNESSEE. Once we recover from 2008, that standard should return. If Butch can't turn it around in 4 years, he may not be able to. I'm expecting him to apply what he has learned, and to continue to grow as a coach. I think he needs to recognize when a game is in hand, and figure out how to enjoy the last few minutes of a game, that's the only take away from the Kentucky game.

We will have 7 or 8 games to play prior to NEXT year's Florida game. Let's see how we do in those first.

You have no clue if you compare this to the KY streak. That streak would still be going on if Doofus was coach. Butch has lost 2 games to Fla by 2 points. Yes it sucks, but I'll say it again. If you can't see the progress and progression of this team and coaching staff, I feel bad for you

No. It's not that simple. Like other posters have already stated, if he went 11-1 with 1 loss to Florida, of course you wouldn't.

We need consistent progress. To use CBJ's coach speak, "Brick by Brick". He's beat SC (and should again this year), He's beat Georgia. Now it's Missouri. Beat them, hopefully this year, as we are the better team. Go win another Bowl.

Next year, need to finally get over the hump on Florida, but if not, do we beat Georgia, Texas A&M, Missouri, SC, Kentucky, Vandy, and Virginia Tech? That's an awfully nice set of wins that shows consistent progress.

It's all relative. I was highly upset with the Oklahoma and Florida losses. But the reason is the playing not to lose strategy more so than the actual loss. To be honest, I still think we were the better team on the filed for both of those. But I have seen progress since then in the coaching mentality. Alabama was a hard fought loss that we were in till last 2 minutes.

Is there still issues? Absolutely. We need to find a D@*n Kicker Whisperer or something. Medley has plenty of leg, but is stuck in his own head. Dobbs is still not consistent enough of a passer. Our line still needs depth (on both sides). Secondary is coming around, but is not playing up to their potential.

All that said, we have progress. We are looking better. There is legitimate hope. The plan is more than teaching proper shower techniques.
