Would this work for an SEC season only?

Few things here
1. He's speaking about sports returning this summer, not fall.
2. He's talking about pro athletes
3. You can't make college kids, who aren't paid, isolate in Atlanta for 14 weeks just so the university and conference can profit.

College athletes wouldn’t HAVE to do it.
My plan is a pretty big Hail Mary, I know.
But I also know how dependent our 14 schools are on football money.
13 televised games from a Disney contract could really help everyone’s finances and other sports at their schools.
That being said, the players health has to be number one. So, .....prob won’t happen.

Good grief, go to the grocery store some folks just walking with no cares. I would feel more comfortable in Neyland Stadium in September than having to navigate the grocery stores now. Cases are going down, this whole thing was forecast to be much worse than it was. Now it has been bad enough, but in many places things should open up as they have virtually no cases. As things slow down our resources will be ready to pounce on other areas if they pop up now and then. But we have to open, heck if you have to go in stores it's already a free for all pretty much. God Bless us. GBO!!!!!!

Saw Bill Gates interview today. He thinks there won’t be large gatherings till next year. Mayor of Los Angeles said the same thing today. Guess if college football kicks off in the fall, USC and UCLA will be on the road for every game. The point is I wouldn’t be so quick to proclaim that things are going to be back to normal by fall. Not everyone agrees. Restaurants and other businesses may open slowly but not large sports gatherings, conventions etc. Going to have to be some major adjustments before that happens.

Bill Gates needs to go fund the WHO since he seems to love them and China. There will be large gatherings, Americans are going to be out and about this summer. Heck they are already getting out in many places. This Virus despite it being highly contagious the mortality rate is going lower and lower and that is a fact. It's so ironic these liberal mayors in many places seem to want to put on more and more restrictions with things getting better. I got news for them, that is not going to sit well with the public at all. Just look what Americans did my marching to the governors quarters in huge numbers and lined the streets demanding the Governor take back her draconian policies. Americans aren't going to play that crap! GOD BLESS! GBO!!!!

Chris Fowler through out the idea of starting the season in February. I could see this as a possibility (though this would be middle of flu season). Similar to the XFL this pst year.

I just don’t see having sports with no fans.

A bit late to the party on this, but there is precedent in other sports. A few international soccer matches have had to be played "behind closed doors" (press, players, staff only) due to racism issues throughout the last few years. I agree it's much less entertaining without a crowd, but I'm sure plenty of people would still tune in via TV.
