Wanted to throw something out to you all and see what you thought. Let me start by saying I truly don't think our players would do such a thing...throw this game so there is no hope of bowl money for the University? If they wanted to get back at Hamilton, surely this would not be the way to go! Like I said, do not think they would, just thinking out loud.

No way, but the fact some could even imagine it shows how far things have sunk.

There's some truth to that. It's almost inconceivable how bad the offense has been this year.

I think the UCLA loss was actually comparable. This team has gotten worse since then.

Yes they were ill prepared to play football today. No they did not throw the game.

I'm sorry for the people who don't get this. Yes, I know the German's didn't bomb Pearl Harbor.

why wouldn't they want to go to a bowl? they can legally get gifts provided by the bowl reps.

I don't think so but they sure looked bad for some reason.

No but I will contend that maybe there was some motivation for Fulmer not to give it all. Most who have been on here this evening might have seen this but oh well.

Ex: The 2nd to last drive, Creer/Poole get 5 straight carries for 50+ yards. They look completely dominant and fully ready to singlehandedly give TN the winning TD. The next play is a first down run for 2. Fulmer then proceeds (or Clawson...but Fulmer could've vetoed) to run three straight pass plays in which the most inept QB in all of college football throws three incompletion's (the last of which is the 4th and 8). Following Wyoming's punt, we then get the ball back with almost 4 minutes on the clock. At this time, we get 2 first downs I believe on 3 or 4 straight passing plays. Continuing on, we end the game on 4 straight incompletion's (a couple of which looked catchable..thanks inept WR's!) resulting in a change of downs and the end of the ballgame. Now how could any logical coach who wanted to win see these dominant running plays and then proceed to run double digit passing plays in a row? Finish that off with a nice smile between husband and wife (Fulmer and Vicki) running across the field after the game, and I speculate that Fulmer didn't care if we won or lost...

Even if it wasn't intentional, that right there should be enough to pull his card immediately and say Adios to Fulmer forever.

I dont think so. I place the all the blame on the coaches. I think this team has been ill prepared for almost every game. The QBs has not been developed and WR look lost. Any team we play can just look at film and see how to beat us. Our Offensive line has been bad for years and only Cut noticed and went to the short drop. The players are lost. They do as their told and it dont work. They then beat themselves up for not winning which makes they play worse in the next game.
The players are running the plays they are taught....the plays just dont work!
