I was having this conversation with a diehard VFL and he was torn but I said yes, the 2015 team would win.

Thoughts?

It would be interesting though. The 2015 team couldn't finish a game and lost leads. The 2015 team could finish and was capable of overcoming big leads.

I think they tie.

Team 119 was a dangerous team.

Team 120 was injured and sometimes divided team.

I'll take 119 by 2 tds.

If completely healthy and at midseason, I'd go with 2016. Dobbs improved passing ability would put them over the top. Also, is this with Hurd or without Hurd? Because that would make a big difference too.

The 2015 guys were great at jumping to leads, the 2016 team sucked at that. The 2016 team rallied back a lot of times, 2015 team blew big leads. Combine both of that:

First half: Team 119 leads 35-7
End of Second: Team 120 wins: 45-42 !!

If you say Team 119, then you're saying that not only did we not improve, but we actually regressed. I don't think you can make a logical argument for that. I firmly believe that if you throw out the injuries, we win the SC and Vandy games -- and maybe the Texas A&M game, too.

But I realize a lot of fans don't want to acknowledge the impact of all those injuries.

And this game will be played when?

Oh, we are just sharing the depth of our thoughts. Scary!

Hard to say. 2015 team was definitely a more disciplined team that was less mistake prone and came out of the gates ready to play. But, as we all know, they couldn't finish games.

2016 was the polar opposite. But 2016 had a better, more dynamic Josh Dobbs leading an offense with more big play potential and a flare for the dramatic in the second half.

Tough call, but I think I got 2015 beating 2016 since 2015 handled its business better, beating who they were supposed to beat without beating itself. Plus, the 2016 defense was so bad, I think that after getting out to an early lead like the 2015 often did, that they'd have no problem finishing off the 2016 team late.....they'd just keep scoring and scoring by running the ball.

No they would rather indiscriminately blame the coaches instead of the 3rd and 4th string LB's and 265 lb defensive ends we were having to play at tackle, for most of the year. Some people are just going to blame the coaches, no matter how strong the evidence is against it.

The 2015 team would've gotten up early 17-0 , then 2016 would crawl back all the way to end and win 38-35.
