Listening to a lot of the talk Pruitt puts out it sounds like he’s trying to prove a point to people instead of trying to win. He’s not playing more talented players because they aren’t practicing well? They’re freshmen. Ever heard of a gamer? He has to be completely losing the team sticking with JG but it seems like he wants to prove a point to everyone that JG can succeed under his tutelage. Thought we paid him millions a year to win. He can prove points on a podcast.

I think you're partially right, he wants to win more, but he believes his way is the winning way. I believe all coaches go through this at some point, the good ones wake up and realize, there job isn't to be right their way. It's to figure out a different solution to the problem. Pruitt seems like the kid in grade school who is still determined to do his math problems by adding and subtracting using his fingers and toes while the smart kids accepted multiplication/division/calculus etc.

Heard the same thing as to why Dobbs didn't start earlier in his career.

The "he practices better" sounds like a coach excuse to me.
But given the fact that practices are closed to the public it could be a complete lie.

My thoughts on the QB situation-- if we'd started Bailey yesterday, he could have thrown 5 picks and maybe we lose by 70.

Newsflash, we're going to lose no matter what. .

Someone like Bailey could possibly improve by the time we play teams like Arkansas, Auburn, etc. JG is not going to improve. Ever. He hit his ceiling a long time ago and we likely win maybe 1 more game with him.

I'm thinking the bye week + Arkansas game will be like the bye week and UGA game last year.....

Pruitt has shown he would shake things up to get the team situated. With A&M on the schedule in 3 weeks, we need to use Bye Week and Arkansas game to get Bailey or Maurer ready. My biggest fear is that Maurer is gonna play and get hurt again because he is trying to take people's heads off when he tucks it and runs.

I don’t think the Arkansas game will resemble a bye week but sure hope I’m wrong.

Pittman has done a hell of a job, but I do not expect Pruitt to roll out the same lineup (primarily on offense and secondary) after two weeks of practice going into Arkansas game. I do not expect to lose to Arkansas at all.

Of course he practiced better. Theres no real pressure in practice other than getting yelled at. In game you've got thousands of fans judging your every move. And you bet your sweet apples this fan base judges. Its Harrison Bailey time. Now is the future. I'm sick of seeing other teams play the better guy. Preparing for better days. Tennessee is always 3 days late and a nickel short.

If he's not careful his stubbornness will be
his downfall. Using JG is like having an item
of clothing filled with patches and expecting
it to be as good as it was brand new.

I mean Pruitt had numerous conflicts with Richt and Jimbo because Pruitt is stubborn and abrasive and we are shocked that Pruitt is stubborn and abrasive?

I expect to either see #2 trot out there and play the whole game, or Maurer start and get pulled at the first mistake, THEN #2 trots out and plays the rest.

Pruitt is not a good coach.

Would JP rather be right or win? The scoreboard these last three weeks answers the question most eloquently don’t you think?

I remember those articles. It would take a really abrasive person to spar with someone who seems as friendly as Richt.

There is a reason why multiple schools passed on Pruitt during the HC searches of 2017.

And I would agree with your astute observation...well done!

Agree. That will be a dog fight. We can easily lose that game if we do in with this poor effort we have been showing the last 10 quarters.
Yes I think so too. Volnation is notorious for declaring a "cream puff" game when those teams no longer exist. Transfers, advanced training techniques at all levels, and improved high school programs have made a laugher game a thing of the past. I read those comments sometimes here and realize they have no clue!

If any of yall know what is right & will result in beating Uga & Alabama, why arent you not coaching high level football? Serious question.

I mean, we can identify things that arent going to result in wins...JG at quarterback. I know, thats the obvious. But why do we think these alternative winning options are hiding there in practice, and the coaches just cant see it? Coaches see these kids in practice, we do not. This idea that these world beaters are on the roster & coaches arent playing them because they want to show the fanbase how right they are, is ridiculous.

At 2-2, against Alabama and the bye week looming, you still play the option on the roster that gives you the best chance to win that week. Even if its a 2% chance opposed to the .0005% chance.
