Tennessee should go after the Big 3 head coaches at any cost, even if it means mortgaging Neyland Stadium.

he would come here if we offered him $37 more dollars than he was making at bama. i wouldn't want him as coach. one of the best, but no emotion or personality.

I dont want Saban. Hes a great coach but he & Bama are a perfect fit together.

Has any coach ever been the HC of 3 different SEC programs? That would make a lot of people in the south sick to see that hire.

I dont think Saban nor Urban would ever coach at Tennessee despite the amount offered, especially not Urban.

Do you want a nice coach who smiles all the time or DO YOU WANT A TOUGH COACH WHO KNOWS HOW TO WIN BIG TIME?!?!?!!?

No one ever accused Vince Lombardi of being jolly back slapping type guy. There are very few Bobby Bowden grandfatherly lovey dovey types out there, so let's get a REAL football coach, okay? You think Bob Stoops is that different from Saban? Stoops is best bet cause he wants back in the SEC from numerous rumors, some with legs high probability.

What makes anyone think we can afford to spend $10M on a coach? This is UT, not the federal government...

don't we want an original adventure? a unique journey to the top on which we can start to rebuild not just our program but our namesake? even if we could get him, do we really want to have the feeling of being just the latest Saban SEC venture? So we win a title with him in a few years..meanwhile, other SEC schools are saying, "Been there, done that." Not me. Bama can keep him. We don't need to whore ourselves for Bama leftovers, no way. imo.

UT can't afford it, but Jim Haslam could.

For $10 million, I think we'd have to be hiring Bill Belichick, though.
