The O&W game to go from its current format to a scrimmage based around the QB battle where each QB is a team captain and picks his team. Would make for one of the best attendances from the fan base.

I'd be for this, though I wouldn't want them to pick their team. Id rather them use the same offense but compete against each other and see who does better.

I'm not a fan of the current format.

Maybe one day if enough healthy bodies get to go through spring practice.

It's a scrimmage. Who cares about format or anything? Who cares about attendance? Come on......? It means ZERO.

I don't have the ability to find this type of info, but it seems to me we "come out of spring" more beat up than any other teams I read or hear about. I would love to see some numbers showing this result for spring practices.

a lot of schools have gone to these gimmicky formats. granted, i think ours has been closer to the other end of that spectrum, but every year he's been here, we've had injuries in to the double digits, and just from a numbers standpoint, it really hasn't bene possible, or pratcical, to put these guys in a "live" situation. i prefer the old school scrimmage myself, but i understand why we're doing it hte way we're doing it, and from a practicality standpoint, i agree with it.

There's not enough defense of tackles to play a two team game. We have to limit the number of plays for our key players otherwise will end up with too many injuries. I see a scrimmage with the offense facing the defense and the winner determined by points.
This way each quarterback gets to play with the same cast of players and against the same defense so you can compare them.

They have geared the O&W game for the recruits.

It's an event rather than than just another day of practice.

It's an opportunity for the EE's to simulate a game.

Free film for our opponents.

Because its the only football we get to watch from janruary to September. I liked it better when it was more like a game.
