Would Jauan Jennings Ever Move to Defense

I don’t see it, he is too valuable on offense. He would be great on D because he has the athletic talent and mindset for it. I have never seen him cover anyone before.
Perhaps in a special goal line D matched up one on one. This would eliminate the need for him to know the whole D scheme.
Just WAG. Nice question.

Given the needs in secondary and JJ'ss passion, aggressiveness and athletic ability, any chance he would spend time on defense
I think he will remain at WR because he is a very good WR, one usually does not move a 2 year starter unless there is a dire need at another position, it appears that we will have enough good players in the defensive backfield, and the offense needs to be good enough keep the defense off the field so it will be fresh. It’s more than a little late. It’s what you do with someone who hasn’t performed at their current position...much less excelled. See Tyler Byrd.

I wouldn't mind seeing him come out on some important long passing downs where you know someone is going to pass at the end of a game or something. In those cases he could just play like a reciever for the other team, except for and interception instead of a catch. But i think he should stay on offense.

He's got meanness in him to make a great DE or OLB!

He would be a one of the hardest hitting Safeties in the game.

He would be one tall, ball fighting CB with above average cover skills.

If he moves then we have a bonified needs somewhere due to lack of talent, injuries or razor thin depth.

If we’re talking NFL potential, he’s better suited for the secondary, but for our specific team needs, he should be at WR because nobody is proven outside of Marquez.

OP. I understand your point. In my opinion there is some validity to it. I personally do think this would be the best idea. He has proven what he can do on the big stage and as a play maker. We certainly need more of this on the offensive side of the ball. If JJ can keep his nose clean and stay out of trouble I think he has 2-3 round talent.

Why the hell would we want too? He beat UGA with Hail Mary pass and a defining td moment vs Florida that turned that game over to beat Florida.
