Would Coach Heupel start a true freshman QB ?

Any Tennessee high school team with a legitimate SEC quarterback should be able to get to .500 regardless of what is around him. They lost 4 games where they gave up 24 or less.
I like how you did that. THEREFORE anybody with your analytical skills should be able to kick in a couple hundred thousand to SPYRE this week.

Based on how Heupel squandered the portal this past offseason (worst portal class among all Power Conference teams), anyone with any analytical skills would realize that a dollar donated to Spyre is a dollar wasted.

Wow, look how fast your analytical skills trended down. Offset by the rise in arrogance. Impressive!

Every report coming out fall camp has him holding his own or out performing the other two in some instances . Two in particular that stood out to me , while practicing throwing on the move , reports had him out performing the other two , while practicing throwing the long ball , reports had him throwing the most aesthetically pleasing long ball of the three .
Reports from fall camp of him performing well against 3rd string defenders who will see little -- if any -- playing time have nothing to do with him "trending up" with the coaching staff.

If, by some miracle or misfortune, he starts, then we made a terrible mistake spending all that money on JA. It would have been better served bringing in an immediate-impact player in a position of need.

Here’s how I think it goes. Merk starts. JA plays too and his running ability and ability to throw on the run shows up in games whereas it won’t as much in practice, so he takes over by game 3.
Im hearing that Merk is having s terrible camp. I'd be shocked if he's named the starter. If he is, its purely political/strategic and not driven by who the best in camp was.

Tyler Bray started as a freshman I could be mixed up those years are a blur.. I believe he started his freshman year after Worley got hurt, wish he coulda had better teams behind him. He was a gunslinger

We had a true Freshman put on 38 lbs since January. So I believe we could put some mass on him. I just don't want him to get crushed. These SES defenses are huge and fast.

Putting mass on a lineman isn't the same as putting mass on a QB.

You want to turn Sanders into a large load to push against.

You don't want to turn G-Mac into that.
