Would 0-2 force...

Vol fans, the milquetoast AD and the boosters. I have pretty high standards for UT--meaning we should be winning an SEC title every few years (at LEAST once every five years). It's not been 10 since we did. And we should be AT LEAST 500 if not better with our SEC rivals--florida, georgia and bama, along with lsu.

Somebody posted it yesterday on another board: Since 2000 Fulmer is 10 and 21--or it may be 10 and 20--against florida, georgia, auburn, lsu and in bowl games. Throw in bama, which the guy should have (we are 5-3 against bama in that period, I think), and the record is 15 and 24 or 15 and 23. UT's got a losing record in bowls and against all those teams except bama since 2000--and, crucially, bama has been trending toward the L column recently, and who doubts that bama will be much tougher with saban now. If Hammy isn't aware of all this--and concerned about it--he should be sacked first, and then Fulmer.

And yet, knowing this, there are fans who think we can't do better than Fulmer! Talk about stupid. Can't do better than 10-21? or 15 and 24? That kind of defeatist attitude is nauseating. I'm about to write Hamilton and tell him to wake up and take a REAL look at the program, which he apparently does not want to do. The Ucla game was an absolute window on Fulmer and his teams since 2000. I don't want UT to wallow in mediocrity for 15 years because the money men think the school owes Fulmer lifetime employment for winning a national title a decade ago. It's appalling to see how psu and fla.state have put their old coaches ahead of their programs. Michigan didn't: Carr won a title too--and he got retired. Programs are more important than coaches.

If we start off 0-2, we will definetely beat Florida. Just when the heat is getting things to a rolling boil, Fulmer will find a way to pull out a win and herd the flock back on the bandwagon.

Nominate for most ridiculous cause-and-effect post of the year.

Great post. I agree and have stated a few times that I think we have to start chopping at the top - AD first. I have no confidence that there will be any real change in direction of the program until hambone is gone.

An objective AD who was focused on winning championships would not have give that sweetheart deal over the summer.

An objective AD who was focused on winning championships wouldn't back track on his publicly stated goals of 2 SEC championships every 10 years and lower the bar to accommodate his inept coach.

An objective AD who was focused on winning championships wouldn't be on the field hugging on fulmer after witnessing the second half meltdown against South Carolina. Its nauseating.

The guy is a joke, a loser, and a lap dog to our inept coach. He's got to go.

0-2 would mean that 0-4 is almost guarenteed and yes, the hounds of hell would be howling loudly

I couldn't agree more! Our adminstration used to be about winning games and now its nothing but a gool ole boys network. Even if they do fire Fulmer in the near future, Fulmer wont go down without a fight. They will have to drag him from his office, because he believes hes a God at our program. If I was the AD he would have been fired immediately following the UCLA game because that is honestly the worst coached game I personally have ever seen. Any one with a brain knows that Fulmer is nothing but a liability to our program and must be fired. I personally cant see us winning more than 7 games this year because if we cant beat UCLA then hell we cant beat anyone in the SEC.

Hamilton needs to be up-rooted before we can talk about Phil going anywhere any time soon...

We will not get to 8 wins at all.

If we continue running the offense and have the confidence, we should lose 5 games. So if we win 8 games, we win 2 of the games with UGA, UF, Bama, Auburn, or USC...not including UK defense has looked rather stout last week.

You are aiming high

I had a pre-season of 10-2, but bery hard to think we dont lose to UF and UGA...and at least one of Bama or Auburn. Maybe sneaking a road loss as well.... 7-5 mediocrity has hit us again
