I'm very disappointed in DC Wilcox. I know we have depth issues and poor tackling is not his fault but the defense schemes in alot of games this year including this one has been terrible. Why are we not blitzing more? If you noticed everytime we have blitzed or put pressure we have been successful. Just letting these 2 QB's pick up apart doesn't make sense to me? Having LB's cover WR's who are faster doesn't make sense to me?

Monte and Chavis schemes were alot better than I have seen so far this year from Wilcox!! I know we are lacking in depth but this is ridiculous.

We have no pressure because 90% of our d-linemen are outweighed by 20-30 pounds. If we bring pressure, we are still outsized and can't get pressure plus we take people out of coverage. Reveiz is our biggest linebacker at 226. It's not rocket science. We are small at every position and that makes it hard to get pressure on the ball.

To any coaching savant saying that Wilcox is overrated...just stop it. It's baseless and wrong. He has the player in position to make plays, but instead of wrapping up or going for the pass breakup the players arm tackle/go for the big hit/and go for the pick and whiff. It's ignorant to say that Wilcox is the problem.

This has been far from true in the passing game. All day long UAB has had people WIDE open. I don't know how much of this to lay at the feet of Wilcox and how much is just the fact that our secondary lacks the talent to cover people, but it's been embarrassing today.

Wilcox sucks and should be fired along with chaney. They are not D1 coaching talent. Give Dooley one more year and if no improvement then Bye bye. 3-9 this year, if we lose today then 2-10.

This team and coaching staff(gameplans) is embarassing. No fight...only in spurts. No wonder all the other fans agree with and like the DD hire. Our D has always been the strength, but watching this game amkes me:sick:. Does remind me of the 2008 team though. Sorry, had to vent:gun:

So explain LB's and DE's dropping back and covering WR's? Yes, we are undersized but just rushing 3 or 4 guys isn't the solution! Hell, bring front 4 and 3 LB's in obvious passing situations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It also isn't helping the defense that they've essentially spent the last 2 1/2 quarters on the field because the offense has less than 100 yards since the end of the 1st quarter. Still, we should be able to stop this team.

I'm done making excuses for this coaching staff. Absolutely embarrassing.

464 total yards given up by our "brilliant coordinator". They'll easily get over 500 yards after our offense goes 3-out.

The 2008 team had a very good defense. No offense. This one apparently has no offense or defense.

UAB is clearly the better team. I think they will wear us down and win the game. Folks, its gonna be a long couple of years ahead. Dooley and staff have inherited a bad situation.

Now that our d has been on the fiel all day because our O sucks we are n trouble... This is horrible...just freaking horrible..I am physically sick 470 yards of O for uab and people are making excuses...it is all around horrendous. Play calling on both sides of the ball and execution is worse than it has ever been!
