Worst TV Announcer Ever

Okay not close to the worst announcer ever, but I agree that was a bone-headed call.

I got the mental image of him looking down to read a text from his wife and totally whiffing on the play call. Who knows what it was, but the dude was clearly distracted and mailing it in for that play.

A lot of MSU fans seemingly thought it went in as well. Fair bit of them started ringing their cowbells. He probably just trusted the fans

It was BAD, but not Beth Mowins' BAD. Thank God were better now and don't have to listen to her call our games!

The announcing crew WAS in fact so bad that it earned it's own article on Awful Announcing!

SEC Network announcer badly misjudges field goal

SEC Network announcer Dave Neal said a field goal try was "good" when it was nowhere close during a Tennessee-Mississippi State game.

Dave Neal has been around forever, I remember him from the Jefferson Pilot days. Not sure what happened to make him mess up that badly.

My recent pet peeve….I automatically dispise any announcer that says, “…………in all of college football”. What else could it be? “in part of college football”???

Only in a specific conference. Or only in the top 25.

Not for anything, but when everyone was celebrating on here our move to ESPN, I said at the time we would regret it, and very soon.

The whole "Gary hates UT" thing was ridiculous, he just gushes over whoever the top dog is, and we sucked most of those years. I'm no fan of his, but Nessler is the best in the business, and CBS actually valued the SEC. To ESPN, the SEC is just more product to schiit on.
