Washington state is the worst to live in. You will not find a shade of orange anywhere over here. I'm also a hardcore cougs fan but it will be nice to see some damn tennessee fans though.
Yeah, you said you were in eastern Washington. It's hell over there, absolutely nothing. When Spokane is the crown jewel of your area, you've got it bad.

Maybe we can watch a Vols game some time though? My mom's boyfriend lives in Kennewick. You in Pullman?

"I grew up in Lexington, nothing is better than walking around town in all orange! Especially at Fayette Mall!"

I learned to love doing that.

Well, I will say that it isn't too hard being a UT fan in the heart of ACC country, except when the boys play a Lincoln Financial game, because we don't get it. I've been lucky this year because all but two of the games have been on national tv.

But still, all it is is Duke/Carolina crap here all the time... they are just counting down the minutes til basketball season.

I'm with tvolsfan and OrangeEmpire; we're all fairly close to Columbus and the misery that comes with it.

I was watching the game yesterday, and as soon as Lundquist says "Tennessee beats Alabama, 16-13!" they cut away from that to the local news to hear the stuffed suit say "Today's top story. Ohio State wins against Indiana, but sad news as thousands are unable to watch the game live on TV". I wish I was joking about that.

I'm not the only one. They didn't even get to the fans singing Rocky top before they were all on the Buckeyes and how upsetting it was ot miss the classic rout of Indiana.

In the Florence Times_Daily today the UT-Bama piece was below the fold in the sports section and very little coverage of the Vol win. Had Bama won it would have been on the front page. Luckily I picked up a Chattanooga paper on the way home from the game.

They had about 3 sentences for the Vols game in the Columbus Dispatch.

3 full pages of Buckeye blowout coverage, with about 2 more pages for the rest of the Big 10.

We had our score, and three sentences with no picture.

tvolsfan,

Don't forget the special pull-out section every Sunday covering the most recent game. It's either that or the Sports section as far as I'm concerned, but not both.

Also, don't overlook the full page of letters to the sports editor complaining about how Ohio State doesn't get enough coverage in the local media.

I love it when people complain the media is negative toward Ohio State.........

What drives me crazy is that 1460 cut out Dan Patrick............

i've lived in MS, TN, GA and NC...

GA wasn't too bad at all...plenty of alum in ATL to back and forth...TN obviously wasn't bad, but living in Memphis....there are a lot of people in Memphis that hate TN...and i would dare say that Memphis is the most diverse city in the SEC when it comes to fan bases...large contingent of TN, ARK, Ole Miss, MSU and Bama fans in that city...not to mention the poor ol Tigger fans.

MS isn't bad now...at least North MS...but when i was growing up, i was definitely the minority...and it was when Bama dominated us, so all my buddies that were Bama fans tormented me regularly. but with how Desoto county has grown since then, it's much more orange friendly now.

NC is ACC country...so it's not bad at all. Unless we lose to an ACC team...twice...in bowl games....then it sucks out loud.

I've never lived in Bama or FL, but have visited many times...and and i would have to say that either one of those would be toughest...especially the Orlando/Central FL area....all Gator there from what i can tell.

It's just as well, since picking up 1460 anywhere outside of 270 is dang near impossible. I drive out to the high school where I coach and flip it to 1510 out of Nashville, 700 out of Cincinnati, 1000 out of Chicago, 850 out of Cleveland, or something in the 1100 range from St. Louis (all of which come in more clearly 5 miles outside of 270 than a Columbus station does).

On the plus side, 850 carries Jim Rome, so I can hear him talk (snarl) for 10 seconds, pause for a full minute, read a 5-second email, pause for 30 seconds...

LOL!

I live in Delaware and in certain parts of the city I cannot get any thing but static.

So I switch it to 700 WLW and listen to them.

1460 is terrible...............

You guys should try living 15 miles west of Bloomington Indiana and working in Indianapolis...nothing here but The Golden Homers from ND, the why, why, why are we always losing BoilerMATERS...But Coach Terry Hoepner from Indiana is bringing a lot of class and enthusiasm to their program so I have been watching them...Especially since the ONLY times I get to see Tennessee play are when they play ND or someone nationally top ten ranked (FLA, GA, etc.)

Try living with last year...I got see a total of 1 game live on TV, the rest my little bro taped and sent to me...that sucked
