rammer jammer after alabama wins by 1 point on a last second FG. yeah, you really "beat the hell" out of 'em
Ever heard of the volunteer wave? The one that goes V-O-L-S, V-O-L-S, V-O-L-S. Go Vols Go. I'm pretty sure the majority of the crowd is behind that one. I think there is one more that at least the student section gets behind but I can't seem to think of it.

YouTube - UF Alum Rep. Corrine Brown Congratulating The UF Football Team
You mean the one under my name? It's the best (having never heard it at ANY game whatsoever)!
Since this is a UT board, I give props to the Gladiator theme done by the band. What this has to do with Volunteers or TN in general, who knows. But it sounds really cool. I'll never like Rocky Top, simply because I was in the stands in 1998.
The Cock screech is god awful, agree there.
I hate when the UGlyA band plays "Gory, Gory". For Pete sake all that song is, is the "Battle Hymn of the Republic" sped up. You would think a state that's capital was burned to the ground by the Union would want nothing to do anything related to it.
I can't stand that stupid Jaws ripoff that UF's terribad band does.
My A in Panama City did that same entrance, and we were the Dolphins. Cool for small programs, but very bush league imo for a college. Space Odyssey for USCe is out of touch too.
Rammer Jammer is pretty cool (hate to hear it). It's very punkish - kind of rubs your face in it. I do like Pig Sooey - very unique. Don't get the love of two-bits, lame, but it's been around a while.
Worst cheer ever maybe the Smokey's on the Prowl though. Glad they dumped that. :swoon3:
The two best fight songs in the SEC are Rocky Top and Yeah Alabama, no question. Everything else is bleh. The long version of Hail to the Victors (Michigan) gives me chills though. Best fight song ever.
Ash...Please don't tell me you were having trouble remembering the Vol Spellout...
And what did you do to get the Tech?
I didn't get the technical for the pep band, it was a tuba player by the name of Travis. It was a very low attendance game (upper curtains were closed) and was against some crap opponent. One of the refs was calling touch fouls all night, and the pep band was riding him hard. In the second half during a dead ball foul, Travis yelled "Hey ref! Your wife called, she's packing your bags!" as loud as he could. Near-empty arenas act like nice echo chambers.
Ref whistled, T'd the band, and came over while the player was preparing to shoot. He didn't think it was that funny; his wife had served his divorce papers that morning.
The next game when we showed up to the ready room, there was no Stefano's pizza, the soda dispenser was turned off, and Mr. Romines had a nice long list of cheers the band was no longer allowed to do sent to him by the Athletic dept.
And now you know. :good!:
