Just so I'm understanding this right for future reference.
The penalty for pass interference in college football is 15 yards no matter what, right?
So, in a situation similar to the one at the end of the 1st half in the bowl, if the defender senses he is beat he should just outright tackle the guy before the ball arrives. That saves a possible TD in that situation. The O would get another shot 15 yards closer than the previous play but at least no TD on that play. In other words, there is no spot foul in college fb.
Is this right?
Interesting thought, anybody 100% sure what the penalty is?
