Worst injury or most painful experience

I shattered my leg from about 4 inches above my ankle to the lower part of my knee. I was rock climbing in Campbell County when the rock face gave. I only fell about 15 feet but the rock landed on my right leg pinning me. It went numb at first but once they got the rock off of me......well it hurt like hell. Took almost 6 months to recover.

Broke my right arm when i went over the handlebars of my bike when I was 14. I blacked out from the time I came down on the driveway to sometime after somehow making my way over into the grass beside it. I didn't even realize what had happened until I stood up, felt a ton of pressure, and saw my right arm bend in a way it never should have.

I also broke my pinky toe a little over a year and a half ago. Broke it early in the afternoon then a few hours later I stood on it to see Pat Summitt get her 1,000th win. I was limping for days. I didn't think breaking something so small could hurt so much.

Surgeries after helicopter crash where I crushed my knees. The surgery was called a tibial osteotomy and they pretty much saw a wedge out of each tibia and swing the leg to change the angle. When I left the hospital and the morphine started wearing off, I was in the worst pain I could imagine and it was persistant for about 3 days. Even though I was popping Lortabs like pez, it was a very painful few days.

When I was 3, I got my right thumb ripped almost completely off by an old sewing machine. It was the only time I've ever been in the hospital, besides birth of course lol.

I've been fortunate with injuries, had stitches, a fractured arm, a few twisted ankles. I remember pouring boiling hot water over my hands, trying to fix my mom a cup of hot tea when i was 12, that was painful.

Burns are the worst! I had a 2nd degree burn on my calf from a motorcycle wreck!

First I gotta say there are some tough sums a beeches on this board.

Nothing nearly as bad as ya'll. When I was little dad told me never to touch the lawnmower muffler. I wondered hot it was so I touched it with back of my hand right after he turned it off. Peeled back about 4 layers of skin.

Other was playing tag. Rounded a corner and slipped on wet grass. My tooth hit a concrete pad and chipped. The pain resonated all the way through my head.

Almost exactly a year ago went in for an emergency appendectomy. I got septic and almost died. I was there 2 months. Went from an in shape 180 to 133. I couldn't even begin to describe the pain for the first two weeks after my 3rd surgery.
Holy cow, that sounds like a lawsuit in the making.

Worst injury was a severely broken big toe, hurts much worse than you'd think.

Most painful experiance was the death of my sons motherbwhen he was only 18 months old.

I have had some serious physical issues but the pain of that seems almost unbearable. I'm sorry.

Hot chit. Had a buddy get a bad burn when he laid his Harley down. Had crash bars that pinned his leg to the pipe. Youch!

Mine was similar except it was a dirt bike. The back wheel got pinned between a fallen log and some mud, my leg was wedged between the muffler and the ground! Had to have therapy for 3 months. It was worth it though, hardly no scar!

This happened when I was in 4th or 5th grade. I had a superball, like what you would get out of a quarter machine, but this one was the size of a baseball. One day a friend and I decided to get an aluminum baseball bat and go in my back yard to see how far we could hit this ball. We were having a blast and were killing the ball. It was clearing my house, my front yard, the street, and then my friends house. Well, we never thought about what would happen if one of us hit a line drive. I pitched the ball and my friend didn't get under it and hit the ball right back at me. I had .000001 second to react. The ball hit me in the lower stomach and all I remember is laying on my back not being able to breathe. I couldn't take a deep breath or bend/sit-up for a week. Everything between my ribs and my junk was a nice mixture of black and blue. I've had burns, broken bones, stiches, sprains, etc. and nothing has even come close to hurting as bad as that.

Speaking of burns,

I was riding in a 2 seater go-kart about 10 years ago(very old school kart - no rollcage, seatbelts or anything) and my buddy driving decides to go Al Unser, Jr and flexing the wheel going a pretty high speed for a go-kart. Well I manage to hold on for a few but then get thrown off the right side of the kart, my foot gets caught in some metal and I proceed to get my arse dragged down the street all the while the concrete is wearing my left shin out. Nasty burn and needless to say I've still got a nice little souvenir from that.
