We've lost 11 straight games to florida and been bad for a DECADE--and the OP calls out the fan base? Please. Stupid statement.

The fan base is stupid. Like most fan bases. There is zero percent chance CBJ gets fired this year. It won't matter if we lose every game left this year.

The fans are resilient and emotionally involved, kinda like insulting your child. Emotions and intelligence are usually independent of each other, since it requires clear thought to assess a complex situation.

Points are right about the entire game. It was not a missed field goal nor a 2 point call. It is a battery of things that created the outcome. The VN tends to jump on a given point, regardless of why that point occurred. Some tie to coaching, gameplans, poor execution, while some tie to better execution by the other team and some are just luck (or lack thereof).

No we're not. This thread is a joke. Should we all hold hands, go hug a tree and sing calming songs? I'm tired of this sissy society we live in. Get over it. The team can't finish, no killer instinct and the reality is have blown two big leads in the 4th quarter from mostly poor sideline leadership. They will go back to battle next Saturday and I'll be cheering them on like most of you even though you say you won't. Put on your big boy panties and get over it

We've had one winning season the past 7 years, yet we still fill a 102K stadium routinely and regardless of where I travel I see a few Tennessee shirts/hats walking around. Yeah we are not loyal at all.

You do realize that if not for like a total of 7 minutes of game time we would be 4-0 and likely ranked near the top ten right? We have a reason to be upset

Being upset is one thing. But 90% of the fanbase running around all belligerent and screaming fire the coach after a couple of really close losses is a special kind of stupid. Especially after the kind of coaching carousel we've been thru that's gotten us to this point to begin with.

We're upset over the trash he calls coaching... He's the worst gameday manager I've ever seen.

Those "close" losses are all on him and if you believe his lies, then well....

Let's start with a fanbase that was clamoring for a HOF and NC winning coach to be fired mid season, even though that coach took us to the seccg the year before. That's just for starters

Well have you looked inside Neyland on gameday? No you have not. If you had you would see it full to the brim with the most loyal fans in football. I think you need to correct your stand on our fan base.

Stupid thread. The fans keep showing up 100k strong in support of this program. Yeah we're awful.. That's also the reason we keep hiring mid major coaches with "potential".. Instead of hiring someone with a track record. This administration loves this gullible fanbase. Gives them a free pass to keep hiring on the cheap and jacking up ticket rates.. Coach choke has to be happy as well. He'll get another year to show us yet new and inventive ways to lose games. Can't wait..

This was a game Florida would have lost the last 4 years.We got rid of a coach that played to not win.Now some of our fans although seemingly happy for the come back win still find something to b***h and whine about.I guess that is just what being a fan is about. Hang in there and the ball will bounce your way eventually. And the fan base will learn just like the team has to learn. How to win. It does nothing but good for Florida for Tennessee to get back to where this rivalry used to be. Its about time some team from the East dethrones the West. And I damn sure dont want it to be a dawg.

You are not a bad fan simply because you are critical when a coaching staff continues to make the same mistakes over and over. And, continues to blow winnable games as a result.

The local and national media also are critical of this staff. It is obvious for everybody to see.

The individual play of dobbs and Hurd almost won that game, not good offensive play calling. Except for 1 good drive and 2 gimmicks the play calling was terrible. I know you will try to blast my special kind of stupid but each one of those guys jukes, stiff armed, ran over or carried at least 4 defenders on their backs to gain 5 yards. It wasn't the oline either, they can't block 8 in the box that sell out for the run. Those 2 guys will forever be remembered by me for their will to win Saturday.

Who recruited Hurd snd Dobbs to play for UT? Neither would be here if not for Butch Jones. Nothing wrong with criticizing the coaching staff. They made some bone headed decisions. But if you think we need to fire CBJ, and go through another coaching change that will set us back 3 more years...again, then yes you are definitely a special kind of stupid.
