Worst call I have ever seen.

Most ridiculous call I've ever seen.

Rules need to change for the sake of the game. Since when is spiking a football and high-stepping bad football?

SEC refs. SMH.

There was a guy behind him that was diving for him.. It was a continuation of trying to high step away from the defender... A ridiculous call..

Lulz I think he was high steeping to show off but nothing so extreme that should cause a penalty.

We always get flagged for that sorta thing it seems. Almost as if they're waiting to call it like a cop on the strip trolling for a PI. USC / Michigan/ LSU etc could throw a damn block party in the endzone & not get flagged

Terrible rule that shouldn't be enforced but that call was correct.

Until the rule is taken off the books our players should know better.

Don't count on it; the coaches are the ones who wanted in there

But still, yeah players should no better

Bullsh**! That was not a correct call.

NCAA bans eye black with messages, wedge blocks on kickoffs; toughens taunting penalty for 2011 - ESPN

"Beginning in 2011, live-ball penalties will be assessed from the spot of the foul and eliminate the score. Examples include players finishing touchdown runs by high-stepping into the end zone or pointing the ball toward an opponent."

It's a stupid rule, but it was called correctly and our players should be coached not to do that.

See LSU's punter against Florida last year.

He didnt taunt. He high stepped out of a tackle and continued to the endzone.

Bad interpretation of the rule. There was nothing excessive about it, nor was CP taunting anyone on the defense.

I'm not arguing that the rule isn't ridiculous. It absolutely is.

But the NCAA made it clear that they were going to start taking TDs away if a player high-stepped into the endzone. With such a costly and ridiculous result the coaches should be drilling it into the heads of the players to never do that.

And most teams have, which is why you no longer see players high-stepping into the endzone.

Don't leave it up to the official to hopefully ignore the rule.

What I don't get is that he high stepped to avoid the shoestring tackle, and with only a few yards from the endzone, he just continued with it for a few steps. Ridiculous call, no two ways about it.

I guess they made up for it by not calling Interference on DY.

The rule is for taunting. The LSU punter last year turned around and held the ball out. Shouldn't have been a flag. Why can't you understand such a simple concept.
