Worst Bowl loss

2025 made us a meme team that the entire nation laughed their asses off at. The take over stadium especially, and man boob fat players out of shape shirtless looking mentally retarded with elastic band stretching... The cracked Nico helmet...

Good times. Was mom's bday and me and Dad were watching at a 5 star restaurant incognito mode while they weren't looking and turned it off in a record 10 minutes. I knew we would be victims of televised sexual battery.

Every single player that joined in that warmup was flabby with love handles and gigantic man boobs with gyno and I don't think anyone took us serious since then. We physically looked like ****. As out of shape as any team I remember. Paired with our fat out of shape coach I wanted to hide in an abyss for a month. Disgusting night. Absolutely a disgrace to the university.

I wish we went 9-3 that season because that tainted our image for at least 2 to 10 more years. Absolutely a clown show of absolute losers that night.

Yea i never had a good feeling going into that game. Our fans were way too overconfident and apparently alot of the players were too. We had some transfer portal distractions leading up to the game as well along with Nico and his dad looking at other teams. Dylan Sampson got hurt and hardly played so it all set up well for Ohio State and we got drilled. We still should’ve played at Neyland instead of going up there to play i doubt it would’ve made a difference but i don’t think we lose as bad as we did playing in Knoxville.

Ohio state. That was worse than anything we have ever done as a program. Much worse than missing the playoff, we projected ourselves as fat circus clowns to the whole nation. I'll never forget the 100s of non volnation sites laughing as hard as they ever have watching football at us. Some sites 404'd from memeposting about us. This infamous meme is a very distant second to that night. We were the #1 trend nationwide on x.com1000061238.jpg

1992 Fiesta bowl. We blew a 17-7 lead in the second half and imploded. Penn St scored 35 straight and won 42-17. And in the 1994 Citrus bowl we jumped up on them 10-0 and lost 31-13 another bowl loss i attended, maybe im a jinx in the bowl games lol.
If I recall correctly the Vols should have been up more than 17-7 too.

This was the 2001 game vs LSU I believe.

Lulu and Junior is the name of the image. To this day it is used, that Ohio State night that picture was revived and spammed everywhere.
I think you are right.

They should’ve been. They dominated Penn. St statistically in the first half. Penn. St scored like 35 unanswered points in a very short time and it was over, we just quit playing. That was a very a disappointing loss cause we missed out on a 10 win season. We had alot of talent on that 91 team and should’ve won the SEC again. Two years later Penn. St beat us again in the Citrus bowl and keeping us from getting 10 wins again although we are or were still credited with with winning 10 games because Alabama had to forfeit all their wins and ties that season so our record was 10-2 in 1993 instead of 9-2-1. I really hate Penn. St!!

We could have lost 120 to 17 that night. It seemed every time they were on offense it was 10 to 40 yards or a TD a play

I distinctly remember the Nebraska game. I remember thinking I've never seen a team handle a team as easily as Nebraska did Tennessee.

Would say 98 orange bowl but I think that loss motivated our team to win it all the next year.

Probably from memory 92 Fiesta bowl. Think we out gained Penn State by like 200+ yds but the 2nd half we just gave up
I've heard that Majors lost control of his mouth at halftime of that Fiesta bowl and seriously demotivated the team.

I have read that after the Nebraska loss, Tennessee players on both sides of the line, LBs too, felt they lost because Nebraska players were far stronger and more physical than they. The lesson was learned. They determined to be in much better shape for the 1998 season. And we know how that turned out.
We attended that Orange Bowl & witnessed Tennessee get manhandled by Tom Osborne's "Huskers". I've seen the Vols in person against some fine opponents, but that Nebraska team is the best I've seen in person.

Man the Georgia dome was a house of horrors for us in the early 2000’s , lost three SEC title games and two Peach bowls from 2001-2007
As far as the SEC title games, 2 out of the 3 we were the underdog anyway, but that 2001 was an all-time choke. The only thing that has given me any solace about that over the years is the fact that Saban went on to be one of the better coaches ever. At the time though we had no idea he was any better than Houston Nutt.

They were great. The scary thing is though that their 1997 team was only about half as good as the 1995 one.
