I think UT beats UTM, UAB, Memphis, Vandy and Kentucky for sure...That's 5...Toss-ups would be Georgia in Athens, So. Carolina in Columbia and Ole Miss...I don't see next year's Vols beating Oregon, Florida, @ L.S.U or Alabama...

It's going to be a struggle next season....

UTM, UAB, Memphis, Vandy, and Kentucky are all easy wins.

Georgia, South Carolina, Ole Miss, and Flordia should be won.

Oregon, LSU, and Alabama will all likely be losses.

In conclusion, expect Tennessee to go 8-4.

why is it that some people think the world is ending when we lose a game like this one? We had to play a team that was a lot better than us. We knew this BEFORE the game was even played. I'm dissappointed like anyone else, but i'm not going to be on here saying that we lose 8 games next year. 8? really? wow, someone needs to go kick their dog or punch a wall or something. It will be ok, i'm sure of it. We lost. Darn! We will do better next year, and the year after that!

Oregon is not losing that much actually. They have good balance of upper and lower classmen.

A healthy AJ Green, improved QB play, No Willie Martinez, and they are just in general returning a lot of young talent that stepped it up down the stretch for them like King, Ealey, Wooten, Boykin, Charles

Watching the Ducks right now and wondering how we will hold them under 50! We are the tale of two defenses right now. One that dominates "NFL style offenses" and another that just gets shredded by spread offenses. Monte Kiffin appears to get his guys in place for pro-styles. But we look like fish outta water against the various spread varieties.

I know we've had LB attrition, but it's been this way all season. Remember, UF runs away on us if Montori Hughes does not strip Tebow @ the 5. We escaped Ohio after getting gashed badly. AU wore us out badly etc etc etc. Yet in the middle of it all we hold UA to no TDs and almost won it.

I know this is almost blasphemous, but IMO Monte Kiffin is not that adept at all the college spreads. He has missed almost an entire generation of the college game, and then all of a sudden he's back. I don't know for sure, but out defense looked woefully out of place repeatedly against spreads. Hopefully a year of acclimation for the DC will have us better this year.

The good (bad?) news is that we weren't any better against spreads/options with Chavis. Can anyone say Nebraska x 2 & K State etc?
