Worley out for season

So glad JW was our QB! He represented TN with class and stood brave in the pocket. What else could you ask for from someone in his circumstances. Also posted some good #s bef i 're he was cut short

Having shoulder surgery (per twitter),(104.5 the zone)

Hate it for him. He was a freaking warrior this year.

Hate it for the senior. He played great and represented the team and the university well. A great ambassador throughout his career. Hope surgery patches everything up and he's playing again soon.

Worley is one tough kid, physically and mentally. His grit will yield him success in life and memories for UT fans of what hard work can accomplish. So many times he kept coming back. Good luck young man.

Good luck to Worley; he was a young man who worked hard and persevered within his QB responsibilities. He took all sorts of punishment without complaining or throwing anyone under the bus.

He will go down as having one of the best nicknames of any Vol QB, I don't see anyone topping 'The Suicide Bomber'.

If he can't get a redshirt maybe Jones can bring him on as a grad assistant

I hope Belicheck already has him on the rader. If Justin heals, he will get a look by the league. They know Peyton could not have survived this OL as a pocket passer.

Otherwise Justin will be fine. He looked quite comfortable working with that young trainer on the sidelines Saturday night. :-D

In just a couple of years we, as Vol Nation, will look back at this team and those that did make the sacrifices needed to bring us back to prominence and Justin Worley will be one of those to whom we will point. The grit and determination to succeed is evident and that seed has been planted in the underclassmen as well. I wish for you Justin a great and successful life whether that includes football or not. And I have little doubt that you will succeed at whatever you choose.
:good!:

Worley has earned the respect of this Vol fan. Proud he was our QB and hope for a full recovery.

Thank you Worley! Please ignore any negative posters. You are a champ and the fans and your team know it! Your sacrifices will not go unnoticed.

In addition to all that has been said about Justin's being a true warrior and has probably taken more knocks at QB than any QB I can remember in my 47 years of watching the Vols, I also applaud him for his leadership. He was the right man at the right time.

As one of the few seniors on the team, he bought in to Coach Jones process and became the leader of the team. He is well spoken and the team looks up to him. We needed that from the Spring game through fall camp and into the start of the season. We all watched him get knocked down, get up and go at it again. Then, in press conferences, he was all about correcting mistakes and moving on. Not one time did he ever waiver in his support of his teammates who he always said had his back.

In the "game" of life, in my opinion, Justin Worley is a First Team All-American. I will always wish him the best. VFL Justin Worley! Best wishes to him on his surgery and Godspeed.

The only thing I want to add to this is that if Justin shows any interest at all in staying involved with the football team, I hope CBJ is able to find a place for him. Not so much as a player, but as an assistant of some sort. He's more than earned that opportunity in my book.

GBO!!!

Wow. have some respect for the kid, he gave his all. And his career is probably over.

He was humble, smart, and took the brunt of what this fanbase can dish out.

I do have respect for him. If you read the second page of the thread you would know that. But you and many others love to jump people.

The fact that you are still defending such a poorly timed and placed post only fuels my clueless theory. Well, that and your fairly recent posts calling for Peterman to start.

Well Peterman was a 4 star coming out of HS and Dobbs was only a 3 star.
