Worley is becoming a leader

Bray pisses me off too and it upsets me
that he couldn't be a great team player. He had unreal potential, but you can't let that cloud judgement. He was the most talented QB we have had since Manning and it isn't even close. Bray also didn't get a 4th year like Worley has.

Bray had played more college football than Worley has by late in his Sophomore year.

Dooley was a DA is why he ran out the clock. A chance to let his team know he believed in them at a critical point in the season and he folded his hand. None of that was Bray
Our last 5 plays were .....Bray completed 1 of 4 passes for zero yards, and we had one run for one yard. That was our last 2 drives before Dooley ran out the clock.

And that's the thing. Bray and Worley have/had entirely different mindsets and motivation in no small part to the coaching dynamics.

I like the kid, but a few of those throws could have gone one way or the other. That being said, he is a more mature and overall better football player than he was last year.

Which ones? He's been incredibly accurate. Only one truly up for grabs was the 9 route to North the last possession and their DB just had really good coverage. 2-3 more yards on it and it's a huge gain.

He still tends to hold on to the ball a tad too long at times. Can't do that with a suspect O line.

Also have to have someone to throw to. His timing and accuracy has been excellent when he's had time to throw.

Don't care. We scored about a half million points in that game. Shouldn't have mattered. Worley has nothing to show in a super critical moment besides a wild throw that North went up and got.

Edit: but to be fair, Worley hasn't had many opportunities to show anything much in critical moments because we have not had many.

I agree with everything you are saying, but to be fair,North didn't have to go up and get it,it was a perfect pass that fell right on North's shoulder. What made it impressive was the fact that the db was holding one of his arms and he caught it with one hand against his shoulder and managed to hang on to it. Worley and North deserve 50/50 credit for that play.

If Bray had stayed he would've spent the entire season on the bench right next to Mo C. for taking illegal benefits. It would've been much more of a stain on the program had that happened.

Not to mention that as bad as Worley can be running the read option, Bray trying to run the keeper would make Justin look like James Banks.

He tried to thread the needle a few times that I truly hope he doesn't do against SEC teams. Aside from that he's a totally different football player from last season

Different player, more confident. If he'll work on that long ball we'll be OK!

I think it would surprise the heck out of him if he connected on a long pass.
I like Worley but, there is one thing he does that concerns me.
He seems to take too much time getting rid of the ball.
I understand that he has to wait for his receivers to get open.
This slow pace will be a real negative when we start playing the stronger, faster teams.
