Not when your wife is pleading with you to move on from TN. But no 8-4 does not save his job but that's irrelevant anyway. Its way beyond wins and losses now. It's the financial hit they would take if he was here next season. Can you imagine the decrease in season ticket sales Aline?? What have you seen from this team that makes you think they have 8 wins in them? You think we are beating LSU? Throw in Butch being 0-9 vs the SEC West doesn't exactly instill confidence. Don't like our chances vs UK this wknd in Lexington. Then there's Vandy who Butch hasn't done well against..2-2 and really should be 1-3 against them. Haven't seen anything that says we can go to Mizzou in November with God knows what the weather will be doing and we definitely couldn't get into a shootout and hope to win that. Then S.Miss isn't UMass or Indiana St they are playing well right now with a 5-2 record and easily could be 6-1 when they could and should have beaten UK in Lexington. Not one of those games is a certain win. I'm struggling to find 3 wins that we need just to get bowl eligible. See no chance of getting to 6 if Butch is on the sideline. With an interim then maybe.

A lot of people may think the Gruden guys are rediculous and filled with 100% grumors, but the info about Butch negotiating a buyout was dropped there at least a week ago. He wants out bad, and Currie wouldn't fire him because he knew Butch wanted out. If UT fired him would had to pay the full buy out, now Butch has to work with them in order to leave and is having to work on a price to make it beneficial financially for both parties.

Word is around 7.5 in a lump sum, and also that it was actually finalized earlier this week with a date set to today. So an announcement tomorrow would be on par.

I don’t believe this for one tenth of one-half second. Jones, who should’ve been handed his walking papers after the Georgia debacle and absolutely 100% after that crap yesterday, will coach vs Kentucky this weekend and very likely, no matter what happens in Lexington, will coach through the end of the season. If being 3-4, 0-4 in the SEC and outscored 112-27 vs your 3 biggest, most important rivals doesn’t lead to his immediate firing, nothing will.

This is 100% consistent to what I was told after the UGA game. So far, it has been the only rumor that I've heard that has held its ground. If it remains solid, the next loss should open the door for an in-season termination.

Yes but here is the crazy part. CBJ could win the next 10 games in a row. 6 this year and 1st 4 next year. Schedule certainly now set up for it.

So they already have a deal in place and are waiting until Monday by noon to announce? That makes perfect sense. Wait until the team has started prepping for the next game on Monday instead of Sunday being that the deal is already done. I am willing to bet this is 110% complete bs.

So what am I supposed to do? I live in Kentucky. I don't want to lose to Kentucky because I will get hammered by people that don't like football until they win but don't want to wait for another loss for a change.

I might be wrong in this case, but it could be a move to get a resignation in lieu of a firing. This allows the parting of the ways with a severance. Resignations rarely have a severance.
