When he didn't make the first on 2nd and short, came up with a facemask full of grass. Butch ran over to him yelling, but couldn't tell what was said, but they definitely had some sort of exchange. Kamara came in and Hurd went to bench.

Not buying he was hurt. They may say that to be PC and all, but him and Justin Martin in the dog house I'm guessing. Love that CBJ isn't letting the players run things.

That said, I hope he learns his lesson and comes back the rest of the season. We need him!!

The goal line fumble (cited by some posters as the reason Hurd was benched) was bad ball security, but it was also about situational awareness. I didn't think that Hurd was showboating too much... but he had no clue that he was about to get freight trained from his blind side. It's time to let it go... TN could very easily lost any of those 5 games without Hurd's contributions,

Don't know why you'd play a guy another play, let him score and then bench him for showboating??

I thought he tweaked something on the TD catch, like a toe or something..... thought a radio guy said something like that, but not for sure

sorry if already posted, but I cant seem to find any info on this injury to Jalen, any updates besides coaching decision etc.....

I think Hurd actually must have had a lower body injury. How else do you explain Butch not using him on the 3 straight carries to try and run out the clock? You put Hurd in there instead of Kamara and he makes the 10 yards needed to close out the game. No Way Butch takes the chance of losing that ball game by not playing Hurd in that situation. If Hurd was not injured and Butch was trying to show the team he can live without Hurd then he is a moron.

Rumors say hamstring. Doubt we will find out for sure. CBJ may address it in his noon press conference.

:rock: Rumor has it that Hurd mouthed off to a coach on the sidelines in the second half and was benched immediately for the rest of the game. Can anyone offer anything on this.

Pretty big assumption that Jalen gets those 10 yards there. He's been in every other time we've needed 10 yards and a first down the last 3 years in that situation and it hasn't really worked out yet.

Kamara was finally getting touches and doing some good things so, they kept him out there...he's actually the more talented RB of the two, so I have no problem with him being the guy there. I don't think I'd have asked him to get those 10 yards either though, at least not between the tackles anyway.

No, I'd have liked to have seen them put it in our best player's hands, Josh Dobbs. Get him on the edge with some run pass options IMO.

Actually recovery from an ass chewing is totally dependent on the receiving end. Could be near instanteous could take a long time.

I am guessing it will be near instanteous. He's a smart young man.

Nah, he had his helmet on. Sure looked like a coach's decision to me....wouldn't dare speculate the specific reason. He didn't play late, we still won, he'll be back to start and play vs TAM, it's all good IMO.

Why do people think he was benched? After he got cracked in the back and fumbled (he was not show boating, he just thought he had an easy td) he played the next three possessions. And not only did he play them, he ran the ball really well and scored a td. So the a** chewing angle is completely false.

He was in the concussion protocol. He was cleared, but it was late in game. He came back in for the kick off return at the end of the game. After his td cbs showed him and he was holding his head. He may have had a headache, and they put him in the protocol. He didn't get benched. He played the whole 2nd qrt, and start of the 3rd after the fumble.
