I didn’t think it was that bad. Drug on a little long. Ending was weak but it was weak in the first one too. I was actually enjoying the campyness for the first bit. Glad they didn’t over indulge in the 80s/retro motif like a lot of recent pop culture stuff.

Glad I watched it. Doubt I will watch a second time.

I haven't watched it yet. I want until it's released on 4K Disc unless I go to the theater.

This is a interesting take.

Was thinking the same thing when watching it that the first Wonder Woman was like the original Superman and ww84 was like superman 2 with some Superman 3 campiness mixed in

Not seen this and probably never will now, but is it true that WW steals a body and essentially rapes a dude? wtf?

Movie was blah. With all due respect to Gal Gadot, has Kristen Wiig always been this attractive? I feel like I have missed something somewhere.

I knew this was going to happen, I absolutely knew it. After the masterpiece that was WW, I was happy to see the DCEU actually did something right, then I remember seeing the announcement for “Wonder Woman: 1984” and I thought to myself “Oh no... please no, please don’t miraculously find a way to screw this up.”

After seeing the trailers and whatnot I thought maybe Patty Jenkins was going to find a way to make this a pretty solid film, sounds like that was not the case. I haven’t watched it yet, and I can’t imagine it being as bad as Aquaman, but the reviews are certainly disappointing.

It’s fine... worth a watch. Just don’t build it up in your mind that it’s going to be anything special.

I never watched Aquaman. Didn’t bother with JL either. I will say it’s better than Green Lantern (since it was mentioned earlier). Definitely better than BvS and still more fun than MoS.

It has an 80s campyness that is a different tone than the first. I think people find that jarring. Has several cliche tropes of superhero sequels. It’s about 30-40 min too long. Neither WW film had a particularly strong villain and a fairly anticlimactic ending.

Wow....that was.....really bad. And cheesy, not really in a good way. In a "this is really badly acted" way. I'm legit shocked at how bad it is.

I definitely don't agree with it being better than BvS, and I'm hardly a BvS fan. And being more fun than MoS...not really sure about that either since I didn't have much fun with this movie. Both of those movies are at best meh but for very different reasons and I'd say they're both marginally better than this one. I'm not sure it's even better than Aquaman but I'll say it's on the same crap level. I'll give it it's better than Green Lantern but since that's pre-DCEU I'm not really counting that.

There's really not much I can say I enjoyed in this movie. Pine was ok for some comic relief I guess but otherwise kind of useless. The acting was over the top but not really in a good, fun way; more in a "we're trying to be serious but it's coming across as forced and cheesy". Even Gadot had me laughing at parts where I was not supposed to be laughing. The dramatic swelling music in the background didn't help.

I'm dumbfounded at how badly this turned out. And even shocking that it's the same director. I could understand a bit more if someone else took over but nope. This movie is Razzie material.

Well I fell asleep in BvS, it was so bad I never had any desire to go back and properly finish it. I also blame that movie for putting the DCCU in such a sloppy mess it still can’t seem to claw its way out. And I say it was more fun than MoS because that was such a drab Superman movie. It may be a better movie than this one for plot, villains, and action, but it failed to capture the essence of the character. This had a colorful camp that fit WW better than dark and brooding fit Superman. In the end neither left me with a disrespect to rewatch.

I actually didn’t like the over the top comedic role of Pine. It seemed out of character from his role in the first movie. His caricature ‘man out of time’ was one a several cliches that hurt the movie over all.

BvS bored me in parts but I kept watching because I was hoping something was going to happen. This one bored and I didn't care if anything happened, mostly because I saw the ending about a mile away and called it to my wife with about an hour left. WW84 was a good 30-45 minutes too long, and the story was just....Superman 3 level bad. Then weird stuff like that whole opening with her doing the competition as a kid, that after the fact felt like the opening to a completely different movie. It didn't fit with the campiness and cheesiness of the rest of the movie, and ultimately it was a way overdrawn scene just to set up the golden armor and they had to squeeze in a scene with the Amazons and Robin Wright and Connie Nielsen. Like all of that could have been done in much, much shorter flashback. And the armor itself ended up being....mostly irrelevant.

For a big budget movie, so much of it felt like a SyFy Channel movie, especialy the scenes of chaos. Those extras were just really....bad. And the way the story unfolded it almost felt like it was a giant improv scene where they were making up the story as they went.

Saw WW84 today. Gal is hot but man, the plot sucked. The characterization of President "Reagan" was the typical liberal Hollywood crap and should have been left on the cutting room floor (This is from a person that has voted D in 3 of the last 4 Presidential elections).
