Women of Chattanooga

Since Mayberry is being discussed, I went to Mt. Airy a couple of weeks ago when they had their Mayberry Festival and went through downtown which has a lot of cool memorabilia and some good fudge. I would highly recommend going there if you are in the area.

Anyway, back to the thread.

If I was a former Miss Tennessee who placed third in the Miss America pageant, then?...I'd be famous as s***!!! Cuz I'm a dude!!! :w00t:
What about " I was a former Miss Tennessee who placed 2nd in the Miss America pageant AND had two kids play fullback for UT AND a daughter that's married to a studley MLB pitcher"? Would that get a bigger discount?

Indubitally. :yess:

False. A black football player visited Mayberry in a color episode, and a few black and white episodes featured African-American extras.

There were also 2 black folks in the crowd behind you and Andy in the "Barney Gets His Man" episode. It was right after the state police hauled off the escaped criminal.

It has more outdoorsy hippies than outright hipsters. Love love love Chattanooga. I've lived in Knoxville, Atlanta, Miami, and Chattanooga. Ain't no place like the scenic city.

That Whitney girl from Chatt used to come out on the lake with us back in the day. I remember her being a pretty cool person, actually.

That sounds a lot like Miss Kingsport 1965, and Miss Carter County and Miss Tennessee 1966, Vicki Lynn Hurd Bartholomew to me.

You got it. Seems like several Tennessee girls have been bridesmaids at the big show.
If this is Miss Vicki, I will have to say that you looked stunning on the runway in a light color bathing suit, and your hair swept up and to the right. Unfortunately, Jane Ann Jayroe was no slouch herself. Lots of pretty girls in the pageants in the old days. My first wife was a 3rd runnerup Miss Georgia, the year following Phyllis George.
