Some parents not agreeing isn’t enough. Some parents don’t agree with sex ed being in schools, some parents don’t agree with how history is taught in school especially with things like slavery. So why should some parents not agreeing be enough to remove something that shows and supports acceptance?

I can literally list numerous things that supports just 1 demographic in schools. I know you’re smart enough to do the same if you just think about it. If you want my personal opinion I think anything political should be kept out of schools but if you support 1 thing outwardly you have to be accepting of the contrary being supported too

and what if kids do not want to accept different orientations, going to force it on them anyway? That's grooming....it's not the teacher's business in how parents want to raise their kids to believe.

the Oreo commercial was just that..the father was a bigot if he did not accept his daughter's orientation.

Okay then we shouldn’t have the national anthem in public schools anymore since it has “god” in it. Or remove the god part. It’s not the teachers/schools business in how parents want to raise their kids to believe. But let me guess, you’ll say that’s not the same thing when it actually is.

reciting the pledge of allegiance is not indoctrination as it is with those teachers with pride flags. Again, it's the parents who teach their kids what to believe, teachers stay out of it.

I mean I’m not disagreeing that political stuff shouldn’t be in schools. But there’s plenty of nonsense taught in schools that the same people hating this would support.

Did I say anywhere in my post about anything being removed? I said parents are choosing to home school and private schools because they don’t agree with certain things.

Now calm down and reread everything so you will see your error. Then you can choose to comment and admit you were mistaken.

Teachers can go beyond facts. Some things, like history, are nuanced. Teachers should teach how to gather information and think logically.

nuanced historical facts are still facts. if you want to say that the teachers should teach more than what is in the history books sure. but anything they say needs to be based on facts.

the first six things weren't curriculum matters, so of course you won't find thing in a public school curriculum. you see it in the grading and priorities that come out of the schools. mostly thru the actual students.
