Woke

I think there is some good in the hybrid mix between work from home and back to the office.

So many lives have changed since COVID.

It's harder to find child care, it's expensive and the ability to save time and money on things like fuel have helped people.

However, collaboration across the board is down. Productivity gains in one area leads to productivity losses in others. Some companies are still paying for the brick and mortar, and different rules are being applied within companies.

I also think new employees are not being trained, integrated and nurtured within companies in the new age of work from home.

Let's also face reality. The Woke and millennials have created the concept of "quiet quitting". The concept of you doing just enough to commensurate with what you believe you are being paid to do. This is easier to get away with at home. I've also heard instances of people working multiple jobs during the same hours which means you're cheating somebody.

Personally I find myself being more distracted at home, but I also find myself working more hours and during stranger times.

Last, we know the federal government and bureaucracy is the most bloated area of waste in this country.

My older sister was in school with Greg and my dad took me to the games. I was in school with Chris and Brad.
I don’t know if you remember, but Chris was a wrecking machine at LB for Vanderbilt.
He didn’t go to UT due to issues Greg had with Majors.
Yep I remember... IIRC... Brad was the one that tackled the Mullins kid that caused the paralysis (it was a clean tackle)

Do we really want our lawmakers involved in the remote work issue? We all keep hearing of qualified worker shortages. If you run a business where info is shared vis electronic media and the work can happen without physically being in an office cubicle, then the companies should work those issues out with their employees. Would you fire your most talented employees because they didn’t want to commute and sit in the company provided building? I wouldn’t as I’d want to do whatever I needed to keep my best employees. The government is definitely the most inept and inefficiently ran business model. They focus more on dei “principles” than LEAN principles for sure. There are certain contracted part time jobs that would be ok to work from home. The only other work from home instances that could make sense would be after hours or weekends.

The order is for federal employees, but private companies are making the decision to mandate more days in the office.

I'm here. Just watching. You goobers got your wish. I'm happy for you. I'm gonna sit back and watch you all burn it down and then come running back for sane leadership in 6-9 months.

How are those all-important egg prices doing?

Welcome back, but ...

Post something even more monumentally stupid so we know it’s really you and not some imposter trying to steal your glory.

LMAO .... bless your heart. Grow up and go find a good paying job & stop whining.

Her parents paid $86,000 a year just in tuition to get that. Think she has a job lined up after school?

Also...shes wearing a terrorist scarf and a rainbow tie. "Chickens for CFA" belief system. Brilliant from their valedictorian. Mom and Dad must be super proud.
