It isn't made for you. Media consumption is extremely fragmented because there are so many different media sources.

95% of the content I see anywhere, whether it is TV, streaming, internet, etc., makes me go "Who watches this?" It's because I'm not the target audience.

I know its not the same for girls, but I always figured there was some sort of "turn your head and cough" aspect. it was always required to participate in any sport as a male. so its not like its some huge addition, and has some established medical relevancy.

I graduated HS in the spring of '99 but last I checked every Boy or Girl playing organized sports from Little League through High School has to have a yearly physical to be allowed to play.
