WNBA discussion thread?

The clip below shows Rae's injury from another angle. So, definitely not an Achilles (the good news) but she rolled the heck out of that ankle.

It was another weird injury where she was just planting and she rolled her own ankle with no one else around contributing to it. I swear there is just something off in her proprioceptive system. Her perpetual clumsiness is one sign and that is leading to these recurrent oddball injuries.

On the bright side, other athletes have bounced back from ankle rolls like this pretty quickly. So hopefully, this is one of those "looks worse than it actually is" injuries.

PS. The Aces are getting a lot of heat for "padding their stats" late in a "decided" game and with a player down not less. But this game was part of the cup competition, where point differentials are taken into account so teams are encouraged to score as much as they can.

A toxic objective from the get go.

I’m so envious of everyone getting to see the games. I have tried to sign up for WNBA Season Pass several times, but I can’t sign up without risking never being able to access all the things I’ve had on this TV for years because it would require me taking the TV back to factory settings.

Three years ago when my partner passed, along with her went ALL the passwords to our media accounts. She was the one who had a mind for storing passwords, and also was paranoid about writing anything down. It never occurred to either of us that she could die, so we just went along enjoying life, and *I* enjoyed not having to remember those passwords.

That is, UNTIL I wanted to sign up for WNBA Season Pass. When I do, because everything in the TV was set using her email, every time I want to add something or restart something I’ve had in the past, it defaults to trying to send all the confirmation/billing info to her old email — which I was never able to find the password for. 😢 Yes, I’ve gone into settings and attempted to change the address/info, but changing it requires the user to be able to access the original email linked to it. I have tried everything.

I read up on it, and the solution is to start all over and go back to factory settings. But I have so many legacy apps/subscriptions through her email that a big part of me doesn’t want to lose for sentimental reasons, so I haven’t been able to let go yet.

Every day I get to see, “Welcome, Juliet.” That probably sounds crazy. Oh well.

I do follow as best I can, but obviously it’s not the same as watching live. Maybe next season I’ll be ready. 🥹
