Probably 15 or so, but if the games turn out to be runaways or not entertaining I will not stick around to watch the ending sometimes. same as with all sports that I watch. I try to see games that have a Tn connection but that is getting scarce these days.

The New York Liberty is really in a slump since Breanna got injured, losing 78 to 62 to lowly Connecticut. This marked their 5th loss in the row. I know there has been ongoing talk about how individual game +/- game stats often don't match the eye test nor the stat sheet. As discussed, it is possible that somehow a player being in the game where the team happened to have a hot streak even if their stats aren't notable may get a favorable +/-. Also, since there are fewer defensive stats (think fg % of the player you are guarding), it also possible that your +/- stat skews negative despite good offensive stats if your opponent is scoring easily on you. I think in the past, that is why Rickea's +/- stats are often not what one would predict when she has positive offensive stats. Despite all these possibilities, some times the stat just seems bats--- crazy. Below are the NY stats from last night's 16 point loss. All the players who played 10 + min had at least a -8 +/- stat or lower. The extreme exception is Johannes, who despite no point, no rebounds, no free throws, 0 % shooting, 2 assists offset by 2 turnovers, and finally the one positive stat of 1 steal, had a 14 point better +/- stat then the next best player. If she was a defensive MVP, perhaps this would make sense, but that is far from the case. If it was her psychological strength that helped a struggling NY team play with remarkably more energy and focus when she was in there, where was her energy and focus to get such a zero stat sheet. Also, it there was such a great buzz when she was in there, why play the reserve Gardener with a stat of -16 more minutes than her. In any case, I love stats when they seem to make sense of the game you watched but this +/- stat defies analysis sometimes. Sorry for the rant, but I just couldn't help myself
