WNBA discussion thread?

Great game for sure with a huge LV presence. Rickea was dynamite in the first half, I think that might have been her first buzzer beater game winner in the W!
Rickea is such an expressive person, typically showing both sides of her mood. It was so fun to see how joyful she was after she made the game winner and how she her teammates were so responsive to her as well. I always remember her bad interpersonal experiences at MSU, so this was really good to see. Sparks 101-99 Liberty (Jul 26, 2025) Video Highlights - ESPN

Let's not act like they're not individuals on the Angel Reese bus hating on Caitlin Clark. I love how everything always gets one sided...either way can't they all just get along..

For the record, I am a Caitlin Clark fan and I think she has handled all the gender and culture war crap that has been attached to her with a maturity far beyond her years. As I have said before, there is a segment CC "fans" who celebrate her as the exception to the rule (women can't play) or as a cultural war symbol, which brings in the anti Angel Reese narrative. So, I think it is necessary to differentiate Caitlin Clark as a player and person and "Caitlin Clark" as a culture war symbol.

On edit: following up on NashVol11, I have not seen any disparaging fake memes about CC posted on this board, so yeah, the "both sides do it" argument does not fit too well in this case.

Posting something fake to draw ire toward one person is, explicitly, one-sided. This had nothing to do with Clark haha

In my opinion, Angel Reese gets a lot of grief based solely on the fact that she showed evidence of being a little immature, and not an academic high achiever, in college, and some of that rep has carried over to now. But as I've said many times here and elsewhere, she may not be among the most polished or scholarly players in the league, but she's definitely among the scrappiest. And she is using the skill sets she has to carve out a really nice living for herself. I really wish that were more appreciated.

She’s unwatchable and dumb. Sorry but who wants to watch someone brick layups left and right and then run their mouth? Not I.

For someone who you say is unwatchable, she surely must not be so "dumb" in how she parlayed her basketball career into an extremely lucrative business. Also, you are true to your word that you haven't been watching her. Otherwise, you would have known that she has actually been playing well the past month.

I’ll bet you $100 she’s broke as a joke in less than 5 years.

Have you seen Angel Reese college transcript since you’re talking about her academic achievements. Also she’s one of the most polished basketball players I’ve ever seen, yes she has certain physical ailments that she was born with but that doesn’t mean she’s not polished. A player that came into college as Wing, played guard/wing at Maryland, and goes to LSU and played Center while being named Final Four Most Outstanding Player. gets to the WNBA and plays Power Forward and named a 2 time AllStar, and this year playing another position as a point forward, that’s polished to me. Name me another player in recent memory that’s done all of that position switching and has been successful at it Over a 5 year period, while also doing that while shooting with their off hand?
