Quite a kerfuffle yesterday when it came out that Raes new contract is a training camp contract. But apparently that's just a money saving move and doesn't mean she'll have to fight for a roster spot. But its still low balling her, which is disappointing, especially in light of some of the ridiculous money some very midish players are getting. Rae has had to fight relentlessly for every scrap since she was drafted

Yeah, I feel badly for Azzi given all the discourse. What a damper on a special moment. I hope a lot of these young athletes, men and women, have strict social media controls.

I'm an Oldacre fan, so happy she is getting a shot. Vic really honed her natural talents. I wish there was mutual interest there with Crooks.

I thought Audi was going to Oklahoma?

Oh, I am just making assumptions. I'll be completely honest at the risk of people calling me overly negative and admit I have stopped paying attention to the top players in the portal because I know they're not coming here. They're also probably not going to UNC because they don't need them as badly.

I think OU is a possibility but just a rumor she was going there before. She has a visit to Maryland coming up. I hear OU, Iowa, Maryland, and Notre Dame coming up most for her.

Apparently one of the reasons the Sparks are scrimping on Raes salary is because Ariel Atkins is making $700,000 more then Rickea was The sparks actually gave the Sky Rickea and $700,000 cap space to get Ariel. That's how the Sky was able to afford Carrington.

Talk about win now pressure. If the Sparks don't make a serious push this year this is gonna look like one of the dumbest trades of all time. Or it may be one of the most generous and thoughtful things an organization ever did for an upcoming player. Because I still think there's a possibility it was an amicable divorce where both Pebbly and Rickea realized they have irreconcilable offensive differences and she would never thrive standing in the corner catching and shooting 3s

LOL in today's entry in the We All Have Our Ways to Cope category. Mine is actually the opposite of yours, i'm focusing more on the top teams just out of interest in the game in general and to see how things will shape up on the other side of the universe next year. You can watch things shake out at the top objectively because you know it will have zero relation to our season.

Trading Rickea is the karmic price that LA, as a basketball town, had to pay for the insane Luka Doncic deal.

Good PR strategy, Rickea gets ahead of the inevitable questions about that wretched three point shot with good humor. I’d forgotten Kamilla also hit her only W 3 pt shot on Rickea
