The "SEC Network" is actually ESPN Regional Television, and it is replacing the JP/LF/Raycom syndication package. Games should be available in HD, but it depends on your local station's ability to show them. The engineer at my local station expects to see HD broadcasts this season.

Under the new contracts, each SEC team should have 11 games broadcast during the season (and one PPV). It appears that lesser games are being sold off to FSN and CSS when ESPN can't show them all. So the availability depends on whether you have a local SEC Network/ERT affiliate, and have access to FSN or CSS. I can't get CSS in my area, but I'm hoping none of our games end up there.

There is a high likelihood that the Memphis game will be the lone allowed pay-per-view game for UT.

So you don't think the games will be available on espn gameplan and just blacked out in the areas where the SEC tv is available?

I checked the affiliate list for the new SEC-tv deal and it's not picked up here (Wilmington NC) damnit.

Nope. Raleigh is 2 hours away but we don't get any of those affiliates.

SO IF I AM RIGHT WILL THE WKU BE SHOWN ON CHANNEL 14 ON COMCAST IN NASHVILLE LIKE OLD RAYCOM GAMES WERE SHOWN? TIA
Times have been finalized for Tennessee’s first three games of the season.

The Vols’ season opener against Western Kentucky on Sept. 5 will kick off at 12:20 p.m. on the newly created SEC Network on ESPN Regional Television, while ESPN will carry the Vols’ Sept. 12 game against UCLA at 4 p.m.

CBS will broadcast the Vols’ trip to Florida on Sept. 19 at 3:30 p.m., as has been previously announced.

ESPN Regional, which takes the place of Raycom Sports, will be broadcast on WVLT and MyVLT2.

Other TV stations within the state:

Chattanooga -- WDSI and WFLI

Jackson -- WJKT

Memphis -- WLMT

Nashville -- WUXP

Tri-Cities -- WCYB and CW4

You know why they made the wedding dress white, dont you?

So the dish washer would match the rest of the appliances.

NO but really she is a big UT fan as well, listen to me trying to convince me that it's a good gift. Ill get her something else too, like a hotdog and coke at the game...

That makes me happy, i dont have to wait all day to see us destroy WKU. and the UT @ fla game time is good cause ill have time to get my drink on before so I can be belligerent to my fla fan neighbors on either side. Its a neighborhood devided.

So, someone who lives out of the region should still be able to get ESPN Gameplan and not miss a game, right?

Good info, thanks.

I'm lucky where I live because we get both Chattanooga and Knoxville stations on Comcast with the Chattanooga channels being in HD.

Last year the Raycom/JP games were in HD here in Memphis. Hopefully they will be this year also.

Thats what I'm wondering. I don't mind paying for gameplan but I'm going to be pissed if I can't catch the regional coverage games there.

I have the similar question, and want to see if anyone can help. Thanks!

I will be living in a mid-sized city out of the region, and I am quite sure SEC network will not cover that area. Does that mean if a UT game was carried by SEC network, then there would be no way for me to watch it? What about ESPN game plan, ESPN U (from comcast cable), ESPN 360 (from comcast internet)?

I am also thinking if UT were to have enough games on national TVs, would it be cheaper to just paid for the rest of the individual games on ESPN game plan?
