WKU start

So word is its down to 1230 or 9, apparently leaning toward 1230, sounds like mike hamilton needs to hear from us.... Anyone got his email? :)

I'm still hearing 7pm on ESPNU. 12:30 is the other option.

Take it for what it's worth.

It'll be 7:00 on ESPNU/2 or at 12:30 on local tv via espn regional(old raycom)

Otherwise it's ppv, and that would mean every other game(including Ohio and Memphis) would be on TV

Now I'm being told ESPN Regional (the 12:20 former JP/Raycom package) may pick the game up instead of ESPNU. It's definietly between those two, but ESPN is leaning towards the 12:20 start instead.

where are you guys hearing this/getting this info?

Ok, what is this ESPN regional that I keep hearing about? What channel is it on? The regular ESPN channel and just a local broadcast that is only available in our area while the rest of the country watches something else?

we need to POUND hamilton with emails to try and get that 9pm game at all cost. a 12:20 kickoff would be horrible.

9 PM was not an option. That was a rumor started here. 8 PM local time (as in, where the game is played) is the latest start time that the SEC contract allows.

ESPN Regional is a syndication package similiar to what was previously offered by Jefferson Pilot and Raycom. It will be available for local stations in each market. They have already signed deals with most of the stations that carried Raycom games last year.

Like I've said before, my info is what it is, you can believe it or not, I just post. My information comes from what I deem to be reliable sources that have very rarely caused me to lead others astray.

I've read the details of the new contract, know how ESPN's contract works with the other conferences... have examined what games are already booked and using that knowledge, there is no reasonable way to expect anything more than a 12:30 ESPN Regional game.

The channels it could feasibly be on...

CBS - Will not begin broadcasting until week 3
ESPN - Navy at Ohio State(12PM), Missouri vs. Illinois(3:40PM), BYU at Oklahoma(7PM)
ESPN2 - Minnesota at Syracuse(12PM), out of market ABC game(3:30PM), OPEN(7PM), Maryland at California(10PM)
ESPNU - Kentucky vs. MiamiOhio(12PM), OPEN(4PM), OPEN(7/8PM)
ESPN Classic - is typically only used for FCS or service academy games

ERT - 12:30 is open... thats our likely destination.

It's likely between WKY @ UT, and LTECH @ AU as far as who gets the ESPN2 broadcast and who gets the ESPN Regional. I would assume Louisiana Tech @ Auburn would win that fight.

Bear in mind that they don't generally use all the possible time slots this early in the year.

Also, USA plays Costa Rica in World Cup qualification that day at 5:30... There are no NASCAR events, but it is possible that there could be some important baseball games.

The reason CBS won't show anything for two weeks is that they will be covering the US Open.
