It's still listed as TBA on ESPN and utsports.com ... the starting time may be set, but they don't list it.

I saw where Kentucky's opening game got set for ESPNU at noon...so that takes away that possibility.

per the contract, ESPN can contract games out to JP and / or other carriers... its possible could end up on JP as an "ole 12:30 game in the old time slot".

Actually from what I understand JP is no more. The 12:30 game will still exist but will be produced and broadcast by what is I think called ESPN Regional or ESPNPLUS.

ESPN Region TV... or ERT

Same channels as JP/Raycom.

98% the game is on there... as we only get one PPV game a year, and thats supposed to be Ohio.

Dumb question......I live outside of the JP/Racom viewing area....so those games should be on espn gameplan too?

Yes, every SEC game will either be televised on CBS, CSS, or on ESPN Gameplan... that includes ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU/ESPNClassic/and ESPN Regional. Not sure if Gameplan is picking up the CSS games, but since it was a contract with ESPN and not with the SEC I would assume they would be too.

The only change from last year is that the regional broadcasts can now be at 12:30 AND in the afternoon.

If you are outside of the traditional JP/Raycom viewing area, then Gameplan should work out well for you. You may want to see if you can find someone who lives in your area who might be able to give you a few more details about specific programming - to make sure that the games won't be blacked out. I live in Boston, so I've never had a problem with blackouts. Most games were on Gameplan last year (unless they were nationally televised).

The games were being blacked out because the game was being covered by Jeff Pilot/Lin Fin. The games were available to be viewed on the channel that carried the JP/LF game. If you lived outside of the JP/LF viewing area(southeastern U.S.) then you would have been able to purchase the game.

I don't have a source or a link.....just a rumor.

I heard that Hamilton wanted this one to be his PPV game and that it would start at 2:30.

Money wise, it could be a good move putting it on PPV.....imagine the people that would buy it just to see the Kiffmeister's first game.
