With two of the three spots filled, Vols 9th in SEC recruiting

Oh yeah...I'd prefer Bacon to either. I'm just not sure he's the pure PG we are after. More of a SG (combo skewed to SG perhaps), but you definitely take him above all else. And if you have to sell him on PG minutes, you do it. Bacon and either Crawford/Miller is ideal.

Interesting that Bacon and Crawford are visiting Georgetown the same weekend. With Bacon visiting FSU this weekend, I just hope they both haven't committed before they get to Knoxville.

If Bacon makes it past his FSU visit without committing, I think he'll take all of his visits.

Where is the 3rd spot coming from? Tyndall is supposedly a guy who likes when his players give 110% everyday, Reese would be a senior but its hard to see who else transfer. Who do you think will be the player to transfer?

We have an open scholarship already. 2 seniors are on the roster.

Okay but what about the other two people are talking about?

Supposedly based on something from 247. Sounds like speculation to me. I don't think any of those goobers over there know who will/won't be on the UT roster next year. I doubt even Tyndall knows. It's crazy that people on here are speculating who it could be and how it will impact recruiting as if there's already two guys that CDT has identified who won't be renewed. That's silly.

We have 3 scholarships available. I would guess that we sign a class of 4 or 5 but not because Ryan Callahan or We$ Rucker says so. It's just an educated guess because there is seemingly always some attrition on a basketball roster between seasons. Hubbs could go pro, a player could get dismissed, a player could flunk out, a player could get homesick, a player could have a medical issue, a player could think the grass is greener on the other side.

I agree with all of that, especially if you can get kids that fit your system. I just think there were better ball players available at this point than the ones we took. I think Schofield and Shembari are good players. I'm excited to see them develop. I was just expecting coach to go after some guys who could have more of an instant impact. He needs to get a legit point guard to fill out the class.

no idea why a pg wouldn't want to come here and have the ball in his hands to create, and also not have to man up D the other teams pg the whole game in the process.

Once again, why don't you all wait and see what happens instead of forming an opinion and fretting about what may happen down the line.

If you look at the class he signed, Dom, and the 2 new commits, there are some ball players. Let them play. Of course not all of them will work out. All never do.
This isn't Aau or nba. Its college ball. Good coaches and good ball players will win games. We either have both or we don't. We shall see. But whining about every choice or player before they put on the jersey is kind of weak, imo. You guys have no idea how any of these guys will do in college. None. Neither do I. Analyze their game and form an opinion of your own. Funny thing is when I ask what part of a recruits game is lacking to those complaining, not one has analyzed a kids play on the court and commented on a weakness they see.
Nobody is forming an opinion. I'm telling you what Ryan Callahan of 247 wrote in an update. So you can take this long message and go debate with someone else.

Seems like a no brainer. Sure wish Darius had stayed. He would have been so good in this system. I'm hopefully going to get to meet CDT next week sometime and sit down with him and some other coaches to talk Xs and Os. I can't wait to hear him explain his system in person.

Be sure to ask how BL is doing? :)

Yeah tell them volbeast coached park and rec basketball and feels we need guys with more stars lol

at least you have a sense of humor about it. There are some that just want to complain now so they can come back down the line and say I told you so. I don't think you are one of those.
Just let them play and if the coach and players aren't doing well, there will be plenty to complain about.

No idea who you could be talking about.
