He played like a freshman starting his first game in the SEC. Hes not a true freshman, but this is his first extended play in the heat of conference play. He played as well as could be expected and didnt turn the ball over. He was almost too afraid of turning it over at times it seemed, but the cure for that is experience.
He has a CANNON and was pretty accurate when he finally threw it.
He fights for plays like the fumble, and seeing his reaction to losing- he looked absolutely devastated. While that doesnt necessarily say much about talent, it does show me a kid who wont accept being a loser, and wont ever settle for it.
He held onto the ball way too long at times- and probably missed a couple of opportunities, but hes a freshman starting his first game and thats expected. Even Peyton had some bad numbers his first year.
Both he and Dormady were victims of the coaching. I think you gotta go with Jarrett. He didnt sh-t the bed like Peterman in a tough situation. Hes got a gun and will only get better the more experience he gets.
Unfortunately Butch is out of passes and even if he is still coach next week, he doesnt have time to let a QB gain experience towards the future.
