I think we should just go for it on 4th down if in field goal range. I think at least we can throw for the first instead of having every FG blocked. Cunningham isnt much better then Lincoln. What do yall think.

I honestly hope that we don't have to kick a field goal the rest of the season.

i agree hopefully there will not be a need for field goals against vandy or ky so no one will have to kick them

We can solve this in 3 easy steps.

1. Find the guy with the strongest leg on campus (will most likely be on the soccer team)
2. Give him some pads.
3. Get the ball between the two yellow poles.

1st error in your logic, there is no "men's" soccer team at UT.

CLK should hold an open tryout for any students who would like to try. My 2-year old niece could block Lincolns kicks.

Put an ad in the paper that says:

"Kicker needed who can kick ball over the heads of fat boys over 6 feet tall about 7 yards away and then down a field...between 2 poles 25-45 yards away. Tryouts Wednesday at 3:00 PM at Neyland Stadium. Uniform will be provided. Benefits include the love of one hound dog and 3 million people. Must be literate and not in jail or going to jail and be able to pass drug test."

Some of you may remember that the current Texas Tech kicker got his job this way. He's one of the best in the Big-12. It sounds goofy but maybe worth a try.

I played UT Club Soccer for 3 years...and yes...I am sure somebody on the team now could kick the ball past the 10-15 yard line (with height) on kick-offs. For field goals I'm not sure how an inexperienced kicker would fare in the accuracy department (might not be consistent enough).

Bottom line: I know there is somebody on the UT campus who could consistently kick the ball inside the 5 yard line. Kiffin needs to get over to the IM fields and do some scouting.

FYI that website is waaaaay outdated...BUT...the UT Men's Club Soccer program is still running. They take part in many tournaments and games throughout the year and play many big name universities which are in a similar situation not having a Men's soccer program (FSU, ETSU, UGA, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Alabama, Kentucky) <-- I know some of these have D1 Men's soccer programs but these are a few of the universities that we played when I was a part of the team
