I think the Vols could have been 9-3 or 10-2. Vols lost to Bama 12-10, Auburn 26-22, UCLA 15-19. The offense could have been a littel better at times and so could have the defense. The Vols have had their ups and downs, but have mainly known for their defense. I think with a little luck the Vols could be a top 25 team next year.:good!: The big games are Oregon and of course Florida and Bama. We have LSU on the schedule next year too. That's 4 tough ones!

UCLA still hurts because we are much better than that team. Alabama stings too.

If the Ohio game and Western Kentucky game were swapped, I think we would have beaten UCLA. That first game didnt help detect Crompton's limitations and our game plan on offense was all wrong.

Be able to go to a new year bowl and get some closed games in your first season is pretty much all you can expect. See UF in 05' and UA in 07'

Very true.....UCLA loss was a real stinker because we didn't really know how to pull off a close one at that point. And, isn't it amazing that we are comfortable with the ball in Cromptons hands even on 3rd and 16.......after the the way we felt 7 or 8 weeks ago?

UCLA is the one that got away. We also got some breaks to win tonight. All in all, we are on the way back.
