Was kinda fun to have the inside joke each year of rooting for an underdog player.
But, like all good things, this one might be good to retire next season just as we did with third down for what.

This is starting to get very retarded. You think our bench is full of 4 and 5 star players like Bama's?:crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy::crazy:

You can't fault a guy for being positive. Dwelling on the fact that we have some starters injured doesn't do any good. Nothing they can do about that now. Yes, we're down to our second string in a couple of positions. But many people are acting like we're gonna be out there starting the scout team. We were much less prepared to play the reigning national champs last year and most likely would have had Medley made one of those field goals. We're a dang good team folks.

I really wish this sort of speculation about blood drawn and "something in his body" would stop. Why? For the same reason as Hurd's medical condition should be halted. It's called HiPPA, no one has the right to anyone's medical information without their permission to release it. Let's stop the wild speculation about why the young man is no longer a Vol, and just move on.

Would actually like to see what Butcher/Bain combo would look like on the field. I just hope we don't on Saturday. Earlier in the season the DT sets looked like this (and this is based off of what I saw in the Vtech game):

Obrien/Vickers
Kmac/Tuttle
Kongbo/Phillips (speed rush)
Picou/Johnson

Butcher didn't see the field. I would gander that Tuttle and Vickers will get the start now, with Kmac and Kongbo being the second set. Hell maybe Shoop will experiment with Johnson in there with Kmac, depending on how his conditioning has been going. He was allowed to start practicing with the team about two months ago, and has travelled to every game so far. I'm taking that as a good sign. Man that would be SUCH a nice surprise if he's at least disruptive enough to warrant a double team. Mike Griffith thinks we may see a lot of him.

This isn't just directed at you as I've seen this several times from different posters lately...but...y'all clearly don't get what 'next man up' means. It's not a statement that we have a difficult time selecting starters because there is no dropoff in our depth chart. It doesn't mean, 'Who cares? All of our corners/linebackers are as good as Cam/Jalen.' It means that our guys on the bench have to be ready to lay it on the line at any given moment because anything can happen and they have to prepare as if it definitely will. The fans have started to latch onto the phrase because our players have,- the ones that have been forced into action have given it all they've got.

So there's really no need to berate well meaning fans with your opinion of how our roster compares to Bama's. Will we win Saturday? We'll know soon enough. I do think it's completely possible, and it darn sure wouldnt be one of the all time great 'upsets.' You probably disagree, though...
