With Hooker out this means......

I wish they would put Bailey in and hold Evans out to heal for the bye week. I am hoping Hooker is back for Kentucky. If not give Bailey his chance. My guess is they play Milton next week. Hopefully he tries a little harder than he did at the end of the game.
When you are a baller you want to ball, and this team is full of ballers. I don't see any of our players forgoing a chance to suit up against Bama.... last year there was half a locker room full of that kind of guy, but not this year! Training staff might feel that way but I don't think CJH feels that way either.

I get it. As a fan, I want us to at least go 3-1 and need them healthy for that, but you are of course right and it is refreshing to see the players wanting to play for each other.

Hopefully it's not that big of an injury and he sits this week and next to heal. I hopes he's healthy after the bye week. I am curious to see how this staff prepares for a team during the bye week.
I'm with you. 100% The UK game is basically the season for me. Bammer and UGA are losses. Beat UK, Vandy and SA, get to 7-5 and this was a successful first year. Would like to have Pitt back with Hooker starting and the Ole Miss game with a healthy roster, we win both of those games. Would like to have caught UF a few weeks later too.

With Milton at QB we run the ball with are 4 running backs and QB and let Milton make the throws he can make maybe try a long ball twice.

Yes, our season is now ALL about the UK game. The other 4 should not be in doubt.
I say for Bama we basically play our second and third teamers.
Rest any first teamers or those with injuries.
plus they then get the bye week to prepare for UK.

Plus we borrow some high jumpers from our track team.
They run into the end zone and try to leap up and catch all of Joe’s overthrows.

Yes. I believe we would beat UF now with a healthy roster. I know several UF fans that said they are glad we played early in the season.

Well we aren't going to win against Alabama next week even with Patrick Mahomes as QB1

Next week is a bye week no harm no foul

Kentucky is where this is going to hit hard. This is a team we can beat and should be able to beat. Not your dad's Kentucky but a winnable game just like Ole Miss was.

UGA we aint going to do anything no matter the QB

South Alabama, we can put Garuanto under center and win 24-10

Candy we can win with a Tyron Evans under center running Army's playbook with just running plays.

I hope and pray he's back, but if he is not we go 6-6 if he comes back for the Kentucky game we might go 7-5 (4-4)
FYI Mahomes isn’t looking good right now and there’s almost three weeks until UK. Take a deep breath. We knew all this.

This is yet another reason why that Pitt loss is so infuriating. It took too long to figure out the QB situation. A 100+ yards in boneheaded penalties. And we lose a very winnable game that was an early “measuring stick” for the program - against a team that lost to a directional Michigan school shortly thereafter.

If we win the Pitt game with Hooker, we’ve got a bit more momentum and probably have Hooker more comfortable in the QB1 spot by the time we play Florida and Ole Miss - With that, who knows what happens? Maybe the UF games goes better. Maybe we don’t find a way to lose against that d-bag named Lane Kiffin. All water under the bridge now, I guess.

However, it’s hard NOT to like a lot of what Coach Heupel is doing so far, despite the disappointments. A loser culture such as the one we’ve had for a long while now is tough to change. I just hope it pans out this time. The situation he inherited was crap, but he’s getting more out of this team than Pruitt, Jones, or Dooley ever would have.

And I believe Pitt is leading their division in the ACC… just jinx them
