Dude, have you not been watching him? Doesn’t have the instincts or intangibles, not to mention accuracy throwing the ball.

Can he be good? Sure, with the right coach. But a star qb in the SEC? Don’t remotely see it.

With better coaching he could be a star. Dude is very talented.

Clearly he’s wasn’t ready to be in this position. Can he mature and develop over the next off season? Maybe...but I’m concerned with his lack of field presence especially feeling the heat on pass rushes and his seemingly lack of quickness....

Agree. Right now he has no feel, no intangibles, no instincts for the position. He has a strong arm and a good chin and that’s it.

He is a pretty good QB...when he hands it off to a running back. Otherwise; not so much.

I thought he battled all night . He had energy ran hard arm looked strong and he gave us a chance. He is not the problem

It was Kentucky! How many touchdowns did he throw, how many yards did he run for and how many times was he sacked? Who won the game?

I think he looked a lot better last night. Of course the Kentucky defense is not to be mistaken for most SEC defenses. JG has a lot to learn I think he could be a very good QB with a decent line and better coaching.

He's a tough kid with a strong arm.

However, he holds on to the ball way too long. At some point, that internal clock in his head has got to tell him to pull the trigger or pull it down and run after about 3 seconds.

He has nearly pulled out two games for the Vols this season despite being a human pinata behind an atrocious line.

Came up just short last night and the ball went through Johnson's hands against SC.

He is stepping up with the game on the line and making plays. That's an intangible thing you want to see out of a QB.

He needs to improve accuracy for sure and field awareness but those are things good coaching can easily correct.

Let's hope he gets it under the next coach.

He could be a star...i think he has good tools to work with[of course they need some definite tweaking]...he has the grit and wanna-be-great attitude...he is definitely improving week to week and has good legs...apparently should have been starter from day one[but that's another story]...i believe in this kid...he and the RB's are the only things I look forward to next Saturday...i hate watching BJ's demeanor on the sidelines[he looks defeated]

No chance to be good until they fix the OL and receiver issues. The line is not giving him a chance to find receivers that are struggling to get separation.
