I know there have been some criticisms about the staff but there is a very good possibility that with even a slightly below average QB that we are undefeated right now.

Maybe, but no use speculating, we are what we are.

However, by the same token, when we get a good QB we're gonna be kicking some serious arse.

Everyone slow down, we're not a National Champ. team but we ARE on the up and up. Expect a decent season, we need it!

We had any kind if talent at QB we woule be 3 - 0!!

Some u guys talk like our O-line is horribel.....BS

O line played like an O-line in the late 90's!!

I can't believe that CLK is staying with Crompton!!

Defense was beautiful and Special teams didn't give up any points!!

They say Jonathan Crompton has all the tools......he don't even have socket set!!

We won today vs the expert analysis but there has to be soemone bettter than Crompton!!

Yes, I do blame JC for the last 2 games and its pitiful!

Excited about the future just frustrated about having no QB at all

Guys, you have to look at it this way for your sanity. If we're this competitive with the worst Tennessee QB in the modern era of Tennessee football, imagine what we'll be once Kiffin's players get in. And they are getting in.

Just enjoy this season for what it is, the resurgence of Tennessee football.

Well spoken this team has the potential and the players RIGHT NOW so to those fans that think we have no talent at UT, I hope you see that there are kids here with heart and talent and with one position A DECENT QB and we are one of the toughest teams in the country!!!!!!!!!

Go VOLS!

I live here in AL. and I am stoked about this new TENN. We are bad news to those guys who used to just think if you stay ahead we will lay down in the 3rd quarter. They never gave up and despite the worse QB in SEC history we still had a chance to win the is game.

ERIC BERRY is a stud!!!!!!!!!!

Yes if that mediocre QB was Ainge.

Well that's kind of mean. :p

One of the few times I disagree with you I guess. I thought Ainge was an excellent quarterback. He is currently the Jet's number two quarterback and with us.... he was only sacked four times while passing to the top trio in the country. After he left, the offense remained in tact but Crompton was sacked all of the time and the top trio of wide receivers was no good. Ainge needed Cutcliffe but Cutcliffe needed Ainge. Ainge is a solid quarterback. May not be the best but I'd say better than average. Hence my position on saying he is better than mediocre. He is in the NFL afterall. And that is all. :)

Probably not. The bottom is that Florida toyed with Tennessee just to keep the TV audience involved in the game. Florida could have easily hung 50+ on Tennessede even if they had a great QB like Peyton Manning. Oh wait...they already did that didn't they. Hmmm....maybe it doesn't matter who the QB is. Maybe what matter is actually being able to execute a play once in a while.

That is one of the most idiotic posts i have ever read on here.

Yea, like CBS called up Meyer before the game & said " Hey Urban care to keep the game close so that we can get some high tv ratings?"

Really? GTFO, your offense almost got shut down by our defense, come to grips with it & STFU.

I agree completely. Brandon James had Janzen Jackson right where he wanted him.

If you seriously think that Florida just toyed with Tennessee then you have absolutely no reason to be opening your mouth about anything regarding football, and quite frankly you sound kind of moronic.

Well, so much for the morphing of gator fans into a knowledgeable and classy entity. This is an effort to punch buttons. i don't even think a gator fan is THAT idiotic. See ya in Knoxville

A comentator made the comment that Crompton did not lose the game for UT this week. this is both right and worng, i think he played much better than last week againt UCLA, his play also hurt us. Him being a lack of a threat hurts our play calling and makes us 1 Dimensional. one play that sticks out in my mind was the last int on 4th down. while it didnt hurt us in the long run and i know we were at the point of throwing up a virtual prayer, if JC looks off his reciever or even make a pump then that safety make a moves or has to move enough that he may not get over there in time. these skill are what you expect out of a quater back playing at the SEC level and we just dont have a qb of that caliber right now, JC may get to there by the end of the year (i hope) but soon we will be a complete team and one that others will fear playing!
